Sort of single ish for 5 years, depends what single is tbh. Living alone, not in a serious/committed/exclusive relationship? 'Single' will be experienced differently by people. Very interesting thread X

It's not so much the living alone , i actually quite enjoy it !I have myself together, and a really good social support network, great friends, family etc..

It's the lacking intimacy as much as the little things you get from an exclusive relationship x

Yep! A completely different kind of intimacy.. I miss the mundane, every day stuff most like cooking with someone and catches, someone checking in , the goodnight and good morning exchanges..

I get like this sometimes, then realise that actually single isn't so bad, I don't feel lonely.. just want something to add ..

Will be 11 years next month. (Have had a fb since last November from here). My son has just moved out. So properly living on my own. They do say life begins at 40. So just need to wait until July.

I live alone, had / have different people who add to my life on different ways.

Open to developing a more intimate connection with another again, as I did have a good connection with one till recently.
