Planning an evening at a bar in the Pontypridd area on Thursday the 21 February from 7.30pm

We will start in this venue and see how it goes. If it doesn’t work well, we will look to change it up

Details of the location will be sent out a day before the event but the venue will always be close to public transport and parking in the Pontypridd area. This is to keep the location safe from time wasters.

To attend you must either be photo verified or have been on fab over 2 months. If you are bringing a plus one they also must fall under these rules and you must let us know in advance.

This is a strictly social gathering. No play at all in the venue also be mindful not to draw to much attention to the group.

Please only add your names if your definitely able to attend and let us know if you can’t make it. With time and event success a strike system will be added to avoid time wasters. This is so we can keep an eye on the numbers and keep the location safe.

To attend you MUST add your name on the forum. You can also PM me on the day of the social till 5pm this is when the list will be closed.

Please make sure your filters allow me to send you the details

Some other evening socials are held mid week. These go well and are usually well attended. A few hours out mid-week kind of breaks the week up

Just got home from this amazing evening. A good crowd and some lively conversations, a very good host who made sure to speak with everyone (that I saw anyway) and made the newcomers feel welcome. A very good start to what hopefully will be a repeated event sometime in the not-too-far-off future.

Well, we started out with the first arrivals around one table, which became 3 tables within 20 minutes of the posted start time, to eventually ending up with something like 6 or 7 tables arranged (very forgivingly from the staff for re-arranging their seating plans) in a circular affair with some seat swapping and general conversational shenanigans which meant that pretty much everyone got to have a decent chat with everyone as the night progressed. Nobody was 'd*unk' and everyone behaved very very well. The host 'Free Of Sin' and her partner did their best to chat with everyone and I think the new people on the scene found it quite a bit less intimidating than they maybe thought it would be.

Everyone seemed to have a good time. And that's what counts. It's a group of like minded people who congregate and enjoy the evening's affairs in a social environment. And I think that's what the objective was. To facilitate people to enjoy a social in Ponty on a weekday. Mission accomplished
