Is it me or do some of you come across some very stuck up people and think there gods gift? Being polite and saying a nice friendly ‘hello hows your day been’ gets you a very rude reply...

Have you ANY idea how many messages asking "how are you ?" Couples and females get in 1 day, it runs into hundreds for some , imagine you're walking down the street and every 2 yards some stops you and asks you hi how's your day going ? How would you feel about stopping and giving an answer to every single 1 ? I'm pretty sure you'd soon get fed up of answering such a pointless and frankly boring question

There's no need for a rude reply if you've sent a polite message, however if your message doesn't relate to the profile & what they're seeking I can see why people would be irritated. Couples & single females get a lot of mail & it's relentless when most of it doesn't relate. The site has tools to assist the filtering of mail, the block button being one, but again that upsets people. Whilst a no response should be accepted as a not interested there is no one approach that will please everybody. We prefer to use the block & delete method rather than take any effort typing a rude response X

I don’t ever do a rude reply unless someone is rude to me first.

I also tried the polite replies but most just then think you want to chat endlessly. I can see how it would look from a single male point of view, but women and singles on here really do get lots of messages that are very samey, and it gets so boring after a while.

I now tend to do my own looking if I want to meet and say on my profile I’m not likely to reply to messages. May sound harsh but it works for me and at least people know what to expect.

Probably because one is desperate for an original and interesting message. It's not as though you really want to know about my day. I could have had a really shit one but I doubt you'd be wanting to know that

Ahhh I was wondering why you didn't reply to my 'how r u?' And 'fuk now' messages...

I truly dont understand why some feel the need to reply in a rude manner to a perfectly polite message. If I'm not interested, i would rather just not engage with the person in general. When i have politely replied in the past, i mostly get them still trying to chat, so it's easier just to ignore. But to make the effort to reply in a rude manner just seems so petty. If they are very offensive OP, i would suggest reporting. There is no need for that behaviour at all.

I guess it is different for a single man on here as I assume we don’t get anywhere near the volume of messages that a single female gets. However manners cost nothing but a little time, even if you have a pasted “in ok thanks but please be original next time” message may be better. It’s tough with the volume and I get that but its not the easiest being a single male on here

Guys needs to realise that the couples and women hold the power here and they get hundreds of messages a day.

Guys needs to either improve their profiles or get to socials if they want to improve their chances.

I think the OP is complaing about the rude replies to a polite message, rather than not actually getting replies.... at least, thats how i read it

I had a lovely reply last night, to a message I had sent:

“Sorry, no thank you”

Wasn’t the answer I had hoped for, but it was much appreciated nonetheless and I thanked the sender for letting me know (as I know how swamped with messages you ladies get).

However, as far as rudeness goes, I just don’t see the need, regardless of how many “how are you” messages you’ve received that day.

Surely, it’s less hassle to just delete the message, thereby indicating that you’re not interested!?

U may be right, there is no need for rudeness, we hate rude ppl, manners cost nothing, and "Manners make us men", but some couples r bombarded with guys and if a nice guy send a message after some tosser has abused them, its just one of those things, it works both ways, their loss.
