Anthony and Cleopatra were laying dead on the floor, no blood, no wounds.

In the left corner of the room a cat lay sleeping on the chair.

on the floor by the side of the chair lay a broken bowl.

WHAT HAPPENED...er answers on a postcard please...bet sniff ll get it lol lateral thinkers put one of your hats on lol debono had 9 or was it 7..well he had a few in any case lol

In the middle of a broad desert plain stands a barn. There are no trees or plants of any kind for 10 km in all directions and the land is totally flat...

The barn has 4 walls at least 10m high and a 4 way pitched roof to a centre point...

At the top of the walls is a roof beam across the middle of the barn....

There are no windows at all and only a single door 2m high x 1m wide.

Outside there is a wagon and a single horse...

Inside from the middle of the roof beam, at the end of a 1m length of rope, a

man hangs by his neck... Otherwise

the barn is totally empty.....

How did the man hang himself...?

The barn has a trap door with a 9m block for the man to stand on, after a set period of time the block lowers and disappears beneath the trap door!!

or... the man brought a 9m block of ice in a freezer on the back of the wagon, he jumps of the block of ice..hence hanging himself..block of ice melts resulting in a pool of water which drys as it is in the desert...so no evidence of block of ice...

or...man didnt hang himself someone else did!!!!

I have a problem with this if the barn is 10 meters high with 1 meter of rope hanging from the beams, it makes the distance from the beam to the floor 9 meters. Are we saying that the block of ice was made in a freezer 9 meters tall ? never mind its in a desert and would have melted by the time it got to the barn 10km via horse and cart or am i over analysing this ?

i agree ... better like i said about the horse eating the hay .... no one said how long the guy had been hanging and if house trained ( roll with this ) the horse would have gone outside for a crap at regular intervals lol
