I’ve had a fair few messages in the past from new profiles, mainly men, saying something like “lush pics. Can I suck you?” To which I don’t reply straight away. Hour or 2 later they’re UNLOS, although now the message just vanished and no record of it

recently a friend on here had her photos stolen on here and the idiot that did it had photo shopped her own face on it ,this individual constantly puts up fresh profiles always with a huge variety of ages . and deletes after a few days !!!!!!!!!!

There's someone not far from us who keeps creating new profiles using pics from porn blogs. They're verified with an hour or so and then message us asking to meet. We report them every time and they're usually gone in a day or so.

Generally if a new profile looks too good to be true then it usually is. Tineye or Google reverse image search is your friend

We all know they exist but i can't understand why people fall for them. New user, few veris, no face pics, won't speak on the phone? And I know some fake profiles are carefully crafted and the veris are from other fake profiles but go and look at those too. If the veris are from new users and they don't have any veris themselves then something clearly isn't right.

People need to stop looking at just the pics and refrain from choosing the sparkliest thing in the shiny shop. Remember, 'if it looks too good to be true then it probably is'.

It’s not just people photoshopping photos though it’s people fucking discussing single females on other forums like South Wales S**ts. Someone has given my full name as well as my username and I’ve had a guy threaten to add me on Facebook yesterday.

That’s awful!! The vast majority are perfectly decent people using the site properly with the proper discretion it should have with it, but the odd few are like that and then spoil it for everyone else and put everyone’s guard up. What a tool.

Should have let him add you (but with restricted view of your profile) so you could find out more about him and cause him some shit

Well there isn't a clear message here other than do your best to improve your own privacy. This stuff doesn't happen by accident it happens because of decisions we make about personal information we share. I know you may have once trusted this person but at some point you probably told them you were on Fab? I think telling anyone in your vanilla life you are on a sex and swingers site is probably a mistake unless you implicitly trust them. That is if you are in fact embarrassed about your vanilla life finding out about this aspect your lifestyle, not everybody is but most I think would be. And if they made the link by seeing your face pics on Fab....well you know what to do to stop that happening in the future. It's unfortunate but we have to be less trusting and more careful.

On the basis I’d rather if my name and username are already connected on the internet I’d rather people see my face than body parts. Think about it?

My ‘vanilla’ life has never been vanilla and hasn’t since I started having sex at 16. None of my friends would be all that surprised to see me on here.

I’ve obviously reported hosting sites etc.

I've had my pics stolen for years and used to set up fake profiles on numerous sites. I'm not even that bothered anymore, even though it was stressful when it first happened. A lot of people get their pictures stole these days.
