Delete your sent messages and forget about them. Just keep an eye on the inbox? Best way to avoid disappointment.

But as an aside, some people are bound to be as lax as me at replying to mail. I have been known to neglect replying for a whole range of reasons from sheer laziness to real life getting in the way and everything in between.

Then, when I eventually start reading messages, I have quite often been pleasantly surprised by face pics included with messages.

This happened recently. And when I went to reply at a later date with a compliment I discovered I'd been blocked.

The motto of this tale is the early bird catches the worm
