Hi everyone,

We come home to Mid Wales every so often, and we were wondering if there are any social events around the area at all?!

We're North of the Dyfi river when we're home so a journey to Swansea is a bit far i'm afraid. But thank you for the reply.

Been thinking of possibly organising a Mid Wales social for ages. Not sure how much interest there would be.

I know a few couple's from the area. Will mail them & get an idea if they would be interested in giving one a go.

Would have to think of the right town to meet as Mid Wales encapulate's a large geographical area. Plus the venue... tricky.

If there is genuine interest i'll see what i can come up with.

Welsh/Shropshire border

We would be interested if it was around Rhayader way dependent upon who else may attend.

There used to be a social in Rhayadar, the last one was about 7 years ago from what I remember, I will ask a few people and try and find out the name of the venue for you if you want!

Thanks Joan, that would be very handy indeed! It's early days, so bear with me!

Need to sort a venue that everyone is happy with, then take it from there! If Couple's & single female's are happy with Single male's attending, then i wouldn't see it being a problem.

Tash, my dear, you will be TOP of the list! LOl. Will get Xmas/New Year out of the way then get down to sorting something out.

As Mid Wales incorpirates such a wide geographical area, from Brecon down South, Welshpool/ Shropshire borders & the coastline of Ceredigion i am going to have to put a very large thinking cap on as far as location!

I think no one wants to travel more than a hour or so. The other issue after that is venue.

For those who organise such things, can i ask if you fess up to the establishment that it's a discreet Swingers get together, well behaved at all times, or do you throw in a white lie & say it's a knitting group come to admire each others cross stiching technique?

I'll need any help & advice i can get... think i'm putting my head in the lion's mouth doing this me thinks!

It can be quite daunting. But everyone is very friendly. I'm sure you would enjoy it!

One suggestion. You could arrange to meet another single female or couple, who are attending, beforehand. Then go with them. Safety in numbers. Worked for me!

Blackpool

There is.a good social in Milford . I know its way to far . But it was a large b and b with the dining room converted to a bring your own drink which was controlled and organised by the hosts maybe try researching that . Check out Milford social on Wales forum and ask the organisers for advice . Brecom way 1 or 2 nights we are interested .
