We were both in the car on the day, I filled in the form saying I was driving, they sent a pic back of zxr driving lol. As I never told who it was they never enforced it.

I done the same as zxr, throw it in the bin. They have six months to prosecute fro the time of the offence. I got caught in May, received anoher letter in September which i ignored and then didn't hear anything afterwatds.Unless it is sent recorded delivery then they can't prove you have received it. To cover your arse contact the Post Office and tell them you are not receiving your mail. They will have it on recorf and it will back you up in case the police get heavy

ive ignored a few now but if your vehicle was registered as a company vehicle or for a business purpose be careful they can fine your company for not releasing drivers details and if you run your own well lets say a small roofing company this fine could cripple you a bit

what i do is just pay the local junkies £60 then you got to cover the fine yourself and get they driving license number as long as it wasent on motorway you can even use people with a provisional license

Carmarthenshire

Do what i done, ask for a picture

say your vehicle is a company car.....they send out a pic and ive heard nothing since and that was last may.

Have family who work in trafic police and they say you question anything and it fucks up the system.

Worked for me

I know of 2 examples on this, 1st, someone I knew ignored it for a while, was also just before he moved houses, so thought he was in the clear! Till he went on holidays, on his return his passport flagged up that a warrant was out for his arrest, he was taken to the local station while we all made our way home from the airport..he had to go to court in the stra he was caught which appended to be miles from where hr lived.banned for a few mths and a few hundred.fine with points....2nd- requested a pic which was taken at early evening, his lights dazzled the pic so you could only make out his registration no. And. Make of car, he didn't produce his documents and ended up in court, although they couldnt prove who was driving, they said he was responsible for the car being the owner, ended up £1000 fine, 3pts.might have been fined less if he produced but refused to accept who was driving, may have even got thrown out of court.

If you are guilty of the offence then just pay the fine and take the punishment.

However, if you feel the ticket is not justified then you need to consult a Solicitor, go to Court and argue your case. That's the way the legal system works in this country.

If you are unsure of the offence you can ask for photographic evidence to determine if you were the person driving the vehicle at the time of the offence.

You might, by some trick of fate, manage to find a loophole in the system, but be warned the punishment can be very severe if you fail. Its 3 points plus £60 for the ticket. I know of people who have been given 6 points and a £600 fine because they tried to worm their way out of the offence.

Another thing. The fact the prosecution is not sent out recorded delivery is not a reason to claim that you did not receive the prosecution. It does not work, believe me.

Don't punish yourself, just pay up.....

Forgot to add - The suggestion by Cazzaahh is an excellent idea and well worth considering.

The suggestion was

'do the speed awarness course its only 4 hrs long and you dont get the points does cost £85 only slightly more than the £60'
