Been on and off Fb for years, and although not a prolific chatroom user always used to enjoy the Wales chatroom for a chat and some good laughs/banter. Now it seems empty whenever I visit?!

Shame, it was a bit cliquey at times, but usually some good banter at busy times. Wonder what they're doing with their instead- some were in there a long time!

There are other chat rooms available we have migrated to those unless there's a few in the Wales room which is usually in the evening.

it was definitely clique. i got called out the moment i stepped in there the 1st time i joined the site. great way to kill off a chat room to attack people the moment they join it. so now tend to venture into the other more friendly rooms instead. that being said i have talked to some great people who were friendly in there.

The "old" chat room was great fun many moons ago, us like others haven't used Wales chat room for a very long time,saying that we haven't been to a social since January 2015 they have also changed from what they used to be like 7/8 years ago.

It's good to see the post naming and blaming one person for the chat demise has been taken down.

Seriously, does anyone really think that one person has that much power and influence that he could alter something on that way?

I've chatted and swapped messages with himon a number of occassions, and always found him to be pleasant, helpful and willing.

If someone annoys you that much in chat, surely you can block them?

I have my own opinion on why that person attacked him, doesn't take much to figure out when you look at the two profiles for comparison.

why should anyone be attacked no matter whats on their profiles?

doesnt matter if they are old or new members. Dunno if you have worded it right or if im misreading it but it shouldnt matter whats on their profiles. if it doesnt suit your tastes then move on and ignore.

When i first joined the welsh chatroom was the best room

Not just for swinging ,but for lots of banter and a good laugh

Loads of subjects came up gardening car problems cooking etc..etc.. if you just joined in it wasnt clicky at all

I wish it was the same now

When I was here in a different guise, the forums were where it was at - the chatroom was a catty clusterfuck where you were chided for interrupting what was in reality the sort of conversation you'd expect to hear in the dole queue or over the back fence.

Don't get me wrong, I love the fact that there's a community here, it's what's brought me back (as well as all the sexy ladies - hi girls

), but it's a shame when people trying to get their groove on are driven out of a place where that's kind of the main idea.

Been here pretty much from the start and the Wales chatroom used to be a fantastic place for fun, banter, flirty chat and friendship. A few years ago it degenerated into a place where arguments, back-stabbing and vicious attacks on character were the norm, and it died off. I hadn't been on there for ages and went back in a few months ago and got the impression it was on the up again. Chat room regulars (not 'cliques') were usually there of a late evening and the mood had been lifted, so to say its dead and buried is a bit premature (like lots of things on life)..... as Mark Twain once said, "Reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated"...!

It becomes a clique when it's not inclusive, I along with others put lots of effort into the social side of the scene with no problem but pop into the Wales chat room & say a simple hi & the majority of the time you'd be universally ignored. That's not just my experience btw. I can pop into almost any other chat room & there's a ready welcome. I personally don't care if people acknowledge me or not but many people here find it difficult X

I was accused of being less than friendly on a couple of occasions well boo hoo that's life. I don't go in chat now due to one certain person causing shit , same reason I don't attend socials or parties.

The only time I see the wales room with more than about 20 people is when there is a woman (naked or clothed) on cam and then its full of people who aren't from wales giving directions.

The Wales room has dropped in popularity since I first joined, and it is now just the same 10-15 people there each night but that's because they have been using the site for years. It's like my local pub, the lounge area has the same 10-15 people there and welcomes others to join them as long as they behave. the main bar/directing rooms are full of irregulars.

In what way?

Many people who go into chat know each other, from socials, parties, club nights etc, so its natural that they will chat, swap stories and banter.

Its a bit like your local pub, if someone new walks in, do all the regulars go over and shake their hand?

Doubtful.

If you want to chat, just dive in, its a bit like socials, some moan that they went and no-one talked to them, but when questioned, they say something like "oh, we were sat at the table in the corner and no-one came over"... its a social, get up out of your seat and go and socialise, you'll soon have a load of friends... same for the chatroom.

Well said Mart have to agree with all you said. I have made some really good friends from the welsh room that I social with on and off fab. Had some good fun with others as well, but it’s right if you don’t put yourself out in the wales room how are you going to find what you are looking for, Let’s be honest and real here a little bit of effort goes a long way.

Cos if you can’t do it in chat there will be no hope in bedroom lol. A chat room is what it said some where to chat, have fun and gain the friendship and trust to meet. Not to much is it ohhh and some manners lol

To be fair most of the regulars in the wales room try and make people feel welcome, there are however the odd idiot (which is becoming more often than not) who come in and abuses people. The admin and mods do basically nothing, ban then for 24 hrs and they are back again. There seems to be no support for the people who use the site genuinely and a lot have got fed up and had enough of this, and left.
