Anyone going to Monknash beach this weekend? The weather forecast is good to great! I hope to be there on Sunday and Monday.

That's a shame, another time. Hopefully some women might be tempted to come.

Is this an approved place to get naked or just somewhere that people do?

We don’t mind a bit of beach nudity when abroad, as the suns out wouldn’t be a bad way to spend an hour or two over here. We just haven’t got a clue where in South Wales would be worth a visit.

Thanks. We might have a look at some point. Assuming you park at the farm and then turn right when you get to the beach towards dunraven?

Yeah used to go about 20yrs ago when lived in Cardiff. Monknash way was v difficult if the tide was in as the boulders at the back of the beach, suggest try from Southerndown end. Is the ladder and rope down the cliff still there as that would be the quickest and only tide proof way but was pretty scary in them days.

It's been used as an unofficial nudist beach for at least the last 40 years. I managed to get there yesterday, and I'll make a picnic and go again today. The (very) best time to go is two and a half hours after high tide, for then you can walk on the sand. High tide today is at 11.04 and tomorrow at 11.49, so either arrive about 1.30 today (2.30 tomorrow) and walk from Southerndown or Monknash, or go earlier and walk across the pebbles from the ladder at Cwm Nash (Park at the bottom of Treppit Road, Wick).

Update-The sea mist on the coast today means it's unlikely to be a good day for the beach (Monknash) unless it lifts by 1.30.

The sea mist lifted and it was a spectacular day yesterday.

Off to the beach again!
