We asked to swap numbers with a couple wanting to meet at a hotel an hours drive away ....we explained we were let down the week before .... after which they said tbey didnt like our attitude said bye and blocked us ..... thoughts ?

True but depending on the immediacy of the meet it would have allowed non-Fab communication and there is the option to video chat without handing over sensitive information such as phone numbers.

Of course there is the usual things you can do to verify if the meeting is genuine, such as the cam chat on here, social meets privately or at the larger communal ones, meets at a club etc.

Sounds like crossed wires or an attitude that wasn't compatible with yours. I wouldn't worry about it, sure it's disappointing but it's the Internet, so what can you do? Just forget about it and look forward to the next meet

We tend to prefer kik for the reasons outlined but have shared our numbers for group chat on what's app & pre meet chat, but we have had issues so kik remains a preference. Sounds like you've had an unfortunate experience op X

Sounds like you dodged a bullet.

If they weren't willing to reassure you that they were genuine before you travelled, I'd say there's a chance they wouldn't have turned up.

Go with gut instinct, if it feels wrong, it probably is.

Sounds like a completely reasonable request, which resulted in you not wasting a 2 hour round trip.

I've only ever met one playmate without first speaking to them. But that was only a 20 minute drive away and thankfully she was there.

Anyone serious about meeting, particular over such a distance wouldn't have thrown their toys of the pram when you asked.

Agree totally with this I'm able to block numbers on my mobile so if they did get unwanted calls I'm sure they could have stopped them. I suspect it was a guy taking his fantasy to it's end and then had to get out of it sorry you had to go through it
