"I normally do the basic servicing myself. But the last time I took either of my cars to an independent garage a few years ago for 10k service it was between £140 & £160." So would you be happy paying £120???

So would you be happy paying £120???" That maybe a good target price. But if you're doing it on your driveway then people have to confidence in your work. If I don't know anything about you then saving of £20 to £30 over a established garage wouldn't be very appealing. Get some quotes from local garages and set your price an attractive amount less. If you provide a good service, word will quickly get around and you'll be able to increase your price.
