"Red line" subjects?

I was wandering through the forums, and saw a thread where the OP got jumped on for mentioning autism (she was asking for advice/support) on a swinging site.

It got me thinking about subjects that I might not want to see on here, or discuss with potential playmates, and, apart from the obvious ones (banned subjects that I don't think I can mention on here), I don't think there are any subjects I wouldn't debate, although sometimes a subject comes up and you just know it will descend into open warfare, like politics or religion for instance.

But, going back to the thread mentioned at the beginning, I couldn't fathom why some people were getting so bent out of shape about it, many other subjects are put up, so, are there subjects you avoid, in case you don't like what you hear, or do you like to dive in and debate?

I wish fab will concentrate on swinging and drop all other topics e.g. politics.

People never agree even if their side of the argument is fantasy.I come on here for recreational sex and to meet like minded (in a sexual way) people but the more we express our opinions we inevitably upset someone or other.

Keep to the core subject(swinging) and if you want to chat about other topics like politics theres hundreds of other forums on the interwebby thinggy to fill their boots with.

The site has such a wide variety of the population that some feel the need to reach out in the forums however, everyone is intiltled to their opinion and it has been seen many times that some Of the "taboo" subjects actually give some sensible debates but others fail miserably and often by the people who don't frequent the forums.

Myself, I believe if somone someone is genuinely asking for advice on something other than swinging, I would answer them if I could.

There are different forms for different topics

The Lounge is an ok place to discuss anything and everything; if it's sexual or swinging, then you have Swingers Chat;

Support and Advice; and so on.

Thought a lot of the bs you see sums really be in the Stories and Fantasies

Doesnt work all the time, but i do mostly

Fuck me an actual debate on here who would have thought.

I have to agree with the comments, the site should be advice guidance or discussion on swinging after all it's what we are here for and the primary business model.

I wouldn't discuss swinging on a motoring, or DIY forum for example.

However people will post to raise a topic on here, because I think as a community it's a fairly open and non judgemental place generally.

Just because we're swingers (though you're free to disagree) then why would we have to talk about swinging all the time?

If you have a social meet, I'm sure you don't talk about the 54 varieties of sex, or how to prevent it minimise the risk of std's, all night long.

Maybe you'll talk about the last film you saw, or what was on goggle box, and so on.

There's a place for everything, and a forum for everything, so just let everyone get on with it, and if you don't like, don't comment

We could all have a gripe about some subjects we don't like on the forums.

For me, Word Association ad nauseum in the Wales section is enough to drive me insane ... at least in other sections they find something a bit more stimulating to discuss ... and use whole sentences!

not for me he didn.t Yes there are forums for everything.

I go on car repair forums and people talk about cars, swimming forums and people talk about guess what?

yes swinging is a lifestyle choice but

so many are "just here for the chat" and nothing else.

the pourpose of the site is for swingers to contact other swingers and chat about it.i'm not so naive to think occasionally other subjects wont pop up but its gone totally the other way to being a social site.

Surely this forum section is the online equivalent of a social? People just chatting about a whole range of stuff?

Or are we misunderstanding it?

I don't know about social .have you been in the politics forum?

Its anything but social just full on arguments and it gets very personal.

I just wish the site would be more geared towards the subject but i think is way past that now . mybe i should go on a tropical fish forum and maybe chat about

fixing my car or cumswapping.

Just a thought, but isn't it the social aspect that makes for good swinging, making links, sussing each other out in a safe way? I've been involved in swinging for over 20 years & socialising has always been a part of it, maybe not quite as much as this, but always integral X

of course but as you say "not quite as much as this ".

I have been swinging since i was 23 since the start of swinging online its gradually gone to a more social thing like f book for nawty people.for most that all it is just another f book style site.

Sadly, yes the site no longer seems to be driven by sex. Was only recently communicating with another couple on the subject of "same room - same partner" and how "exhibitionism and voyeurism" was for participants back in the days of the "Rendezvous" monthly contact mag . . today that particular erotic act has been eradicated by smart-phones and an instant world. Dial in what you want and have it from the comfort of your armchair!

you know what people are like, a bit like the soul who offered a lift to anyone going to chams and got ripped apart for spelling it charms. People are twats!
