I've been to house parties that are open to everyone and not just friends. The organiser never charged entry but provided a full buffet and soft drinks.

I've been holding party's for 13 years I have never charged people to attend, it's my choice to hold them and it's my choice to do a buffet And most people who attend are strangers !

Maybe, after the initial party, the organiser will change his policy.

However you can appreciate his possible nervousness about spending an amount of money, and then no one turning up

Once you become a recognised organiser, then of course, you do get a certain amount of regulars and reliable people coming along

Excuse me what rubbish. Every time I host a get together and have one in a few weeks I don't know some that I have invited (albeit only a social get together) everyone brings a bottle and helps out with nibbles, Im not gonna charge them for soft drinks or the use of my home am I, so no WE DONT CHARGE AND SOME ARE UNKNOWN TO US WHEN WE HOST.

Ok, final update : the party is on the 20th of October in Johnson, there's no fee, it starts @ 8 pm bring your own drinks and condoms, soft drinks and nibbles provided. I will require a confirmation by one week prior of whom will be attending so a list can be posted on here for every one to see.

Ok a lot of talk about money not the fun of meeting sexy ppl, this guy is tryin to set some thing up for who ever wants to go, he is getting knocked back from all angles, he is offering his own home for fun every other week, of course he has overheads light heating some sort of bar to make sure its all safe and food and who do u think is going to clean up in the morning while we r all in bed, he's got to wash every thing clean hoover pic up condoms some ppl do just through them if some one has moved the bin and all this before he can sit and enjoy a nice clean home, but this all sounds cool, how many of u have been to Decs in burnham on sea did u argue the cost, i feel not neither did we its the same set up, give this guy some credit who knows if it works for him it could be a new club in the future x

I'm in the camp that happy to pay but you're missing the point, several people here hold regular parties, the attendees include strangers, food is provided, accommodation is offered & none of us are expected to clean up after. No one charges for this because it's a private party in someone's home, that's all people are querying & I'm not getting a feel people are saying not to do it or wishing it to fail X

I totally understand why the OP wanted to charge a fee. I have held many parties and they are stressing to put together, you have all the mail asking to come, you cater the food etc and then over half don't turn up.Also the cleaning etc afterwards, but i never charge as i love meeting new people and the social side of swinging. Good luck OP.xx

there are venues and a club also. Social venues but Pembs people are fickle shame it's just the Bdsm set that use them. If you need any support let me know if you want a bit of kink thrown in organise one at mine. Also I can vouch that you are a genuine person and wish you all the success

Hope it goes well and the first of more to come. Organising more than two people to anything is never easy, let alone this kind of event. It’s easy to get bogged down with negative responses, so go ahead and see how the first one works out, making any changes for the next one and so on for future parties. It’s always a learning curve and the dynamics depend on those attending as much as the ambient surroundings provided by the host.

Speaking of which, based on previous parties at other friends over the years, the host is usually the one rushing around, making sure everyone is comfortable and having a good time. Unless someone else is roped in to help (figuratively roped in), the host doesn’t always get the most ‘action’ until later on. A deadline for answering the door usually helps overcome this, or someone else is in charge of late arrivals.

Good luck and hope there’s a time I might be able to help in any way.

Lets get some names down then. Party is definitely going ahead. On the 20th October in Johnston. Those whom confirm will be given address 2 days prior, plenty of parking, bonus part, there's a pub, 2 doors down to loosen them nerves lol

Can we get something straight...im not the person who cancelled a party in the same area. I'm just trying my damn hardest to organise a party venue where everyone can have some fun. But I keep getting agro from all sides.
