Have you ever turned up for a meet and the couple/single person answering the door, meeting you not been what you expected, ie nothing like their picture, not as they described themselves, and if you did stay was the play time as expected? or was it a case of turn around and run away....

I visited a meet once and as soon as he answered the door i made up my mind there and then i would not be playing. I was polite, made small talk for 15 mins then politely told him i would not be playing. I gave him a social meet verification. His pic was not up to date and there was no chemistry.

Exactly the reason why I think people using out of date pics are really fooling themselves. It may help them get more meets but ends in more disappointment. How do they expect chemistry when the person they meet is struggling to get their head around the change in appearance?

Having said that one of my pics is 5-6 yrs old, but my excuse is that I lost all my recent pics when my hard disk packed up, and I look better now than I do in that pic now anyway.

indeed pics to change over time, hence the need to keep your profile up to date
