If you bump into someone you know at a club just smile and wave

What are they going to do?

Very true. Maybe not so keen to take it on the chin at first, but as you say, all in the same boat. Been on here for a while now and we've only experienced time wasters and no shows. So, we feel clubs are the way forward.

We were in the same boat as you OP on our first club visit so we headed to Darlaston and we bumped into someone we recognised up there, we should have just gone to Newport

My Ice Castle! South Wales

I come from a smallish town not so far from Newport. I have run into several people I know which I was embarrassed about at first. But like others said how can they let the cat out of the bag so to speak without it being obvious they were there too. Smile and nod seems to be the best way to deal with it.

Simple if your ashamed of swinging don't do it any one you meet are into the same thing. And should respect each other its amazing how many swingers I see about. Nurses teachers events and best of all supermarkets if your confronted be polite I would never out anybody.were all in the same boat

There's loads that work in supermarkets and the big stores in the dock, it's off putting going there to be honest... Most turn into giggling little school kids...

You're more likely to bump into welshies over the broader as most think if they go over the bridge their less likely to see people they know. So you're better of just going locally tbh

If you are that nervous of swinging don't do it !

you will always bump into people you know everywhere in life.

so if you met your neighbor in the Jacuzzi in chams would you be like a shy school kid or just say hello?

We aren't 'that nervous' we would just aren't mad on the idea of being recognised on our first time. It's a personal preference. It's something we really want to do and have been excited to do so for a very long time.
