To block or not to block....

....that is the question

So, I replied to a message this morning with a thanks but no thanks and thought nothing more of it.....this afternoon I get multiple messages from the same bloke and when I said I'd told him (politely) this morning that I wasn't interested, he totally lost the plot and called me 'f**king stupid' for not blocking him....I've only ever blocked people in the past who are offensive (which this guy wasn't before his dummy went flying) so should 'no thank you' always be followed straightaway with a block?? Etiquette lesson needed please!

The ironic thing is that he was right, I was fucking stupid for not blocking the passive aggressive little runt in the first place lol

It will probably save you from a lot of hassle if you block them after sending the "no thanks" message. Personally I think it's nice of you to reply to him to say "no" anyway.

Uptown Top Ranking

I don't block everyone I say no thank you to. Unless they become a nuisance or abusive...

I've had a message similar to yours though when I told the guy no thanks. On that occasion I reported him for being abusive and blocked him

My Ice Castle! South Wales

He could have just as easily blocked you so didn't send the same message again

I have found now that it's sometimes easier to just block after you've said a no thank you. More so if they are from around the surrounding area. People from further afield usually only message I find when you are online the same time as you or a new pic has gone up.

We use the block button liberally, it's a tool to aid your profile not a personal attack on people X

I know what you mean - it just feels rude to block, esp when the vast majority of people either just leave you alone or just send a quick email saying all the best to you too....I need to toughen up!
