Risk?

So with the recent media hype outing yet another Fab event

would you still be prepared to attend one with the risk of getting outed?

The last one I saw outed before this had pictures of peoples faces, or car reg plates.

I would never risk my life falling down around me because of being outed,

so I guess it's no socials, events or big parties, just stick to my current circle

What's your opinion?

First off I'll say I've never been to a social or big group event

It probably wouldn't put me off going though , we're all adults having a good time , I don't see anything seedy in it and I don't associate with people who are judgmental, I also work for myself so I don't have to worry about repercussions from an employer.

I can totally understand people who would be put off by the recent press attention.

It's a shame there's so many judgemental people in this world

It is a shame that being a swinger is still seen in a negative light meaning we are in 2017. We are still very much judged.

There is risk to everything in life, when I get in my car I don't let the thought of a potential crash put me off

The media were in very hot water when then put pictures up of people's faces and car reg's. It comes under certain clauses of the revenge porn act so they won't be making that mistake again.

Unfortunately the press haven't grown tired of thinking swinging is big news. Surely there are more interesting things to report on

I'll still happily go to socials most are in public places, the venues aren't widely shared, usually & how can a person prove you're attending that public place to meet swingers? & if they did, what can they say we're socialising with each other OMGG that is shocking.

I'd still go .. would make me a bit nervous though ..I'd hate to have my pic in press although I'm already taking a risk with public face pics on profile

Living life on the edge I suppose

Funny how it's such a hot topic ... I don't usually bother with judgemental people either ..my only concern would be my son seeing

Exactly this

Imagine the headline...."31 year old grown woman in meeting likeminded other adults for social drinks shocker"

It's pathetic at best

Not really the same, you can minimise risk when driving, seat belt, regular service, drive cautiously.

It would make no difrance to me, if my pic was in the papers, or my car as it's easy noticable,it would be too late. I hope they get bored of swingers soon

You can minimise the risk here too. Different people will see the risk differently of course which is great

The media must recognise that there are privacy laws in the UK (thanks particularly to the European Convention) which they ignore at their peril. Yes, I know this is about to be read by a pathetic puerile journalist...just bring it on.

wales online are the worst, they informed all my employers wich was quite funny as they all knew, they even took pics from this site of friends thats why i took my old profile down they also took pics of fet, i sucsesfully stoped them printing as to coppyrite laws on my private pics, i still use my real name i have a high profile job and meet swingers where ever i go, in there work or socialy i normaly visit in my work vehicle funny sometimes, be safe its your life! ps in the 60s no body gave a toss why do they now?

Porthmadog

I am sitting here in Spain. It's grown up here compared to the UK and when we bought our villa the estate agent didn't blink when we said it had to be private cos we are swingers. Indeed, he followed on "Oh yes, my brother in law is a swinger and he goes to El Jardin del Eve in Alicante....." He even told us the local dogging spots. No-one is worried about swinging and the odd newspaper stories about it are in a positive light.

The sad thing is that shock-horror-probe stories about swinging still sell papers in the UK, so obviously the owners think people buying them want to be shocked. Probably on the basis of "there's too much around and I'm not getting enough....."
