Ladies and gents!

When sending photos to other members, please make sure they are actually you!!

Just been blocked by a guy who had a veri. He sent me a photo, I put it into Google and it came back with loads of hits of an American semi famous guy!!

This has made me laugh.

I have no idea why they set fake profiles up or even send fake pictures? At the end of the day the whole point is to eventually meet so thats going to be awkward lol x

Had the same thing from this 'woman' on here ,

It rang alarm bells when it was a photo in the mirror taken with a digital camera (which looked 10 years old)

Reverse search and sure enough there it was on google

Makes sense to meet in a public place first then. Personally I just think it's fucked up. Be yourself, send your own pictures makes life easier

I met a guy for coffee once his profile said 35, on seeing his pic I got him to admit to 45, upon meeting he was patently over 60 & admitted to being 65. He even had the cheek to invite me to join him in his camper van round the back of the pub ffs, like I should have been grateful X

I got catfished , on tinder , was meant to be a 24yo slim woman , met her in the castle grounds , ended up being greeted by a 40yo large lady .... it wasn't even close ! I just walked / run away hahahaha

While I best about men in all fairness there are women who are just as bad. Not so long back there was a profile with pics nicked off Instagram which blatantly wasn't the fem.

Be honest and you're more likely to get quality meets!

There a man on here.. from Bridgend, couple of veris, pics of a handsome muscular chap. Was chatting to him for a while and we took it to kik. Was arranging to meet and asked for a live cam pic. He sent me a pic that clearly wasn't the man I'd been chatting to. When I challenged him, he said that he was the other person in the pics. The other person in the pic was a spongebob cuddly toy. Catfished to the max. Mind you. I'm far fatter than my pics show so I'm sure I've probably catfished a few in my time

Had it happen to us couple ten years older and 5 stone heavier than pics....we didnt stay as they lied ...what else was a lie...

Also found an underwear model living local as google reversed image...told fab nothing done about it. but she got photo veried after...like how ...unless she is a model...

Friends had pictures used by other profiles ...even new profile had cheek to put their name on pics ...

Ten years ago i was a size 8 now I'm a size 20 - I wouldn't even consider for a second to send someone my old pictures then turn up for a meet and have the embarrassment of explaining I lied.

We went to meet a guy who turned out to be at least 20 years older then his pictures........we walked away and he got quite shitty that we wouldn't continue with the meet........

He then changed his username and pics to another set of himself younger and contacted us again for a meet.

The stupid thing is we don't have age or body type hang ups, we just expect a little honesty....

Sounds suspiciously like a guy we were chatting to last year and tried to arrange a social meet with. everything was all sorted till the day before hand when he said meeting a couple was too intimidating and would Rachel come on her own to which Rachel's prompt reply was NO!

Fantastic, just tried it on my Sony Xperia, it works, I got a few results from an image off a profile on here that I ve been chatting with. Then met. Realized it was not her in her picture.

If someone had beef with someone else for what ever reason, and they are able to name and shame, then that system is up for abuse.

For instance, if you turned me down for a meet. I could name and shame you for not turning up for a meet we arranged. Therefore false info on you and others could pass up on a meet.

This happened to me before we exchanged pictures including face I turned up and he was a total different person I didn't even bother staying I was so annoyed. If he had actually of sent his real pic I'd of met him and stayed lol x

Time wasters?? I'd say it's anyone's prerogative to choose to meet or not, no matter how many messages have been exchanged...

other things such as fake pictures or picture stealing you can report to admin

I had exactly the same.

Pretty new to this site and had a message from a very attractive lady. Thought it was too good to be true so reverse image searched it on Google. The photo was taken in like 2010 so asked "her" when it was taken, she replied last week.

I'm so lucky my one and only message on here is from someone who can time travel!

What do people gain from this?

Absolutely, no one's heard of Baglan so I put Port Talbot.

Worst distance thing that ever happened to me was a date with a lady allegedly from Cardiff. It went extremely well, but she rang a couple of days afterwards to say she actually lived in Nigeria and was going back that weekend. She was only visiting relatives in Cardiff.

Lots of people don't understand metadata on photographs.

Every digital image holds a digital signature, which contains lots of information, including the details of the camera, phone and exact location that the pic was taken. So it's very easy to trace someone from a photograph, even if it doesn't show their face.

I've had my pictures stolen off my fb accciunr and used on tinder and pof even fake facebook accounts with diff need I even had a fake fet made with my nudes from wen I was young snd a size 8 dnt even know where they came from they where years old lmao I just got laugh it off I get it a lot! I take it as a compliment now

Recently I've had "how does a guy like me get to meet such a lovely couple from Bridgend"
