Allegedly if the Lions continue on their current lose win patterns, they should win the series 2-1

Gatland picks his boys, and doesn't like the scots. Another outstanding game for Russel today and a 2nd victory against Australia in Australia. Aren't Scotland upto 4th in the world rankings now or have I misheard somewhere? If this is the case well done Scotland

It's well known garland had a few run ins with certain people on the last lions tour !!!!!

The evidence is there in his selections !!!

You need to bury your differences on a lions tour and pick form players !!!!!

2 more players are expected to join up with the lions both are coming from the Scots. Fin Russel is supposedly one.

I agree it has put a mockery on the lions shirt. Apart from Gareth Davies. The other three should be no where near a lions shirt.

Exactly! It's the lions not Wales! Players like Hibbard/ tuilangi (animals) should be there

so what about the game against the moris?

dominated in every aspect of the game .

the coaches got that right.

ex players and us public in general are not involved enough and have the knowledge pick a team or have a clue whats going on .

its ok to have banter but really? we are better than Gatland at managing?

If ever a l O l was appropriate its now

Gatland should be judged after the series. It was a great win today and I think the AB's will be a little worried after that performance. Faletau as usual was immense is cousin wasn't bad either, It's great to see two pontypool boys doing so well for the lions.

Maro Itoje is destined to be a very very special player right up there with your Johnson's and Eales. I think the Lions could surprise a few next week.

In all farniess, I know he hasn't put a lot of Scott's in and he has held the Welsh in high esteem Wether that be choice or bias, but I didn't even think they would have had a team at this point, and wrote them off, what should fool I was to think that I know more that Warren Gatland. The team took a few games but they have gone from strength to strength the last few games WHOEVER is in the side, I didn't get it until I watched it but it's not about nations and however many from each country play it's about Lions!!! And I for one want them to hurt NZ (which I'm sure they will regardless of score) as they have really pulled together the last few games. It's his head it's his call, easy to sit here and say "well it should be this, he should have played that" but it's not our call. Anyway I think they are doing great and I for one will be right behind them !!

See....optimisim is the way forward. The negativity of some so called fans after the first couple of games was embarrassing, running the team and coaches into the ground.... that's not what supporters do (not you btw I mean in general)

So many want them to fail just so they can unleash their bitterness

It's pathetic

I'm so excited !! Sad about a few comments, the worst thing is after reading some of them, I now want NZ to REALLY be hurt. I haven't felt this much love for a rugby team since we won the grandslam with Ruddock. I think this is Gatlands fight as much as the boys on the field and fair play to him all the talk in the NZ papers criticising him is disgraceful, we would never do that to another welsh man so in my eyes fuck em !! And they're amazing rugby!! They're getting stuffed come Saturday and it will be well deserved!! Up the fucking lions!!

Definitely mate ! They bleed red like any other person ! They just do the basics very well and play at an intense pace and and capatitalise on our mistakes .. it's kinda like a hot bath , when you first jump it is like ooooooo fuck but then you acclimatise .. Most of us admire your ti......sorry, your rugby analysis MissP. You watch the game week in, week out, unlike hordes of the "Rugby Mad Welsh Public (copyright WRU)".

I love Tipuric - great player, but sadly, I think the All Blacks would blow him away at close quarters. Often seen it happen at the breakdown against top sides.

Besides not taking chances, the pack was found wanting physically, an area in which the Lions fancied their chances. Tipuric needs a front five that's on top of the opposition.

That said - he'd be brilliant to have there if they were in touch and the pack was going well in the last 20mins (he's a way better passer than either centre!).

I see AWJ and Kruis are the fall guys in the media. I think the former was OK until he took a knock and I think the first scrum after he went off went badly. Think Liam Williams was similarly affected by injury.

Fucking French ref as usual! The officials are terrified of them and gave them everything as usual. It was a good game but with these decisions against us, playing the best team in the world how are you ment to stand a chance.

have to disagree with previous comment about ref. I think he had a good game. the problem is all the changes, why so many changes. Hate to say it but the yellow was correct. Letter of the law it was. Dan missed a kick so we could have won. It was a good game and roll on Saturday.

Guilt! And we payed for it after that sending off. Not getting into a debate or argument I'm just saying how I see it, But They get all the big decisions and the game wants NZ winning end of (fact!) ££££££. If no one sees this they clearly support bigger teams and are bias or just having a wind up,simples. Ain't taking the bait!

That's because it is, the team is the team, you have a moan at the start then get behind them. It's the same format in all teams. But your spot on some people will just use it as a "I told you so" when they lose. If you follow any type of rugby right or wrong on selection you get behind the "team", it's just spur grapes. X

There have been many criticism of Gatland style for years, and his selection process for this tour has been highly criticised.

I don't want to see the Lions lose let alone be pasted, it's just not at all unexpected.

In all fairness though they (NZ) are the best and other useful generally expected of every team that plays them to lose, the problem is you keep mentioning the Scottish factor and if I'm honest it's starting to sound like either an exscuse to put them down if they lose or sour grapes. The team is the team it's his call if either of us new better we would be there calling the shots but we don't so we are not lol. I think they still have a great chance of winning this, the all blacks gave everything on the last game so at least we know what we are now dealing with and gats isn't a dull guy so let's have faith.

There's no need to apologies, I get it and totally understand where your coming from, all I'm saying is that ship has sailed now time to suck it up and deal with what we've got. You can't take everyone, and in all fairness to him he played who he played today in as much response to "honour and respect" for the shirt. He's got a game plan and nows the time to trust him .

Remember its not "Warrenball" but instead its "Howleyball". Lets be fair about this, Howley has coached wales for years in Warren's absence and now Howley is attack coach for Lions.

Also no other home nation would release their coaching staff for a lions tour. So we can all be critical but these are the bare facts.

Surprised Sexton is in - he's been poor on the tour. Think the ABs will be licking their lips at running at 10/12.

Sexton/Farrell have played so little together too and Teo was a stand-out player (if only he could pass)!

Feel sorry for O'Mahony too, though his much praised ability to be a nuisance at the breakdown didn't work out last week. Stander has looked tired on the tour - he's there for his carrying, but he's predictable and think the ABs will eat him up.

I'd expect the ABs to target Sexton (look out for his trademark loop-around move to be met with a tackle that sends him into next week)! I think they'll want him to stay on though.

Worried at the relative lack of changes in the front five. They got smashed last week.

The biggest difference is a French ref. Far more significant than the changes. Might give the Lions a shout, but think ABs will walk it.

There's too many inconsistencies in this selection for me. Think Gatland has lost his nerve and stubborn streak and has listened to others more than usual.

Farrel must start in his right position and sexton to come on a bit later. I would have started Webb ahead of Murray even tho Murray has been brilliant, a change and a bit more strength is needed. Alwyn Jones has been a fantastic player but sadly I think he has come to the end the last year or So, so perhaps half a game for him. But in all... probably the worst lions team I have ever seen... best team that he could have been picked I think with the injuries sustained.

It's well known garland had a few run ins with certain people on the last lions tour !!!!!

The evidence is there in his selections !!!

You need to bury your differences on a lions tour and pick form players !!!!!

Exactly! It's the lions not Wales! Players like Hibbard/ tuilangi (animals) should be there "

Penalty count and loss of momentum /possession counts for a lot, control is important, I'd be wary of animals.

the sexton/farrell thing at 10/12 is working because they are actually switching positions all the time.... so is making them hard to target... althought that one on farrell just before half time will keep him onhis toes......

just loving all the different kicking options the lions have.... just target naholo he looks as shaky as i have seen a nz winger...

The sent off of Sonny Bill shows how the healthy and safety rules are making rugby softer...Back in the days that would have been a yellow card tops. Saying that he has been a fool. The law today says you get a red for that and he should have known better. If his arm was open, he could have still put in a cheap shot maybe getting away with it.

He deliberately dropped his shoulder to smash Watson in the head and you could see the intent in his face

oh absolutely, he committed a foul and it was malicious. The law states this nowadays

Reminded me of Sam Warbuton in the world cup a few years ago, when he spear tackled and got sent off. I though it was harsh too, although the rule says now, and then, that you cannot do that.

Few years ago that would have been an excellent tackle

Of course. I am only saying that, unfortunately, cheap shots have always been part of rugby. In 30 years of playing it I have seen it all. It's a contact sport afterall. But apart from everything I do agree that at this level players should know better, especially 25 minutes in the game

It was blatant he's only gutted he was caught, really dangerous type of tackle, and on the question of what card it should be, if you were on the receiving end what card would you give him....exactly.

I'd have given him a yellow and blowjob because I'm nice "
