I've been reading about this beach, and would like to visit this summer. Has anyone been there? I understand it is a family beach, which rather suggests naughtiness is out of the question.

Like a lot of beaches Vault beach near Goran its a bit of a hike for a shingle beach... Well a bit of sand at low tide.

You might be better off at Greenbank near Gwithian.

Most beaches in Cornwall are family friendly with naturism reserved for certain sections..

It's tolerated would be a fair description... For Greenbank cove and any others you may find.

Its not the easiest to get to either as are all the beaches around North Cliff... A good Scrabble down 150ft cliffs.

BTW.. Up until about 4 years ago I lived in Cornwall for just over 12 years.

It's called fisherman's or smugglers cove...its lovely..I am born and breed a local.

The road was shut when I went, but you could still walk in via the path!

Fully reopened path down again. Still steep steps and ropes to help at the bottom bit. shame that last time went the tide was coming in whilst the sun was going down so the tanning section gradually diminished. quite a few nudies were down there though!

Vault beach is not shingle it is a lovely sandy beach with families at the near end and naturists on the final third with plenty of rocky areas to hide near the cliffs,there is a car park at the top with a footpath down to the beach!

I agree, the far end of Vault is a great place, to watch or join in action. Sadly there aren't many ladies who play there....
