Looking for opinions and experience of inflatable hot tubs. Looking to purchase one and debating about it. Has to be an inflatable in case I move next year as I don't want to be messing about trying to move a moulded one about. I have a gazebo for a bit of privacy ready to go ..

Be sure to buy some sort of base to put it on, with all that water in it any small stones etc can puncture it. Some one used a couple of layers of old carpet which seemed to work well.

It's going on decking and I was planning on putting some artificial grass down to start anyway but I believe you can purchase solid bases for them .. that's who I started the thread .. for people who have them to guide me a bit an the best options so to speak

Make sure it as a cover to keep the heat in, as the more you lose it costs to get it,s temperature back up,

We love ours got it last summer used until October started again about 2 months ago. Got lazy spa Vegas. Best thing we ever bought x

Theyre great buy the rubber matting that looks like a jigsaw and make sure u keep on top of the chemicals all parts are replaceable had mine 2 years and only thing i change is my filter best buy ever xx

We have a small 4 seater moulded one . And fill it of the hot tap and add recommended dose off chems each time we use it .then drain and clean it after every use.much cheaper way .

I've got a lay z spa Vegas had it over 2 years. Left it out side empty over the winter. That was just on artificial grass. Did buy the lay z spa matting to go underneath this year and there gazebo. Did have a puncture in it about a month ago. Took me ages to find it as it was on the join where the ring inflates for the bubbles. So had to do a little bit of modification to that ring to get to the leak. But all working fine.

We too have the lazy boy, best thing we've ever bought, it's been running for over a year, jigsaw type matting is a must, plus a gazebo to keep you out of view, chemicals are cheap enough, and even though we're on a water meter, it only works out about £3.50 to fill. If it broke tomorrow, I wouldn't hesitate in buying another one.

The perfect alternative which is much better than an inflatable and is portable is a Canadian spa ..they are like plastic click clack together walls .. like wooden flooring that clicks together ..lining is attached by poppers ..not too expensive xx

That was going to be my suggestion as I had one up until just over a year ago but sold it as it was in storage and as I was away for the last couple of years it did not get any use..

We're in it nearly every evening good idea but wouldn't be economic for us x

Don't use carpet under it.. When it gets wet it will smell. Mines on decking with a foam jigsaw under it. Works great.. I have inflatable 4 seater. Had it for 3 years. Runs 24/7 for 10 months of year, goes off in January.. Can't beat a dip Xmas day

only replacement parts have been filters in all that time. Happy naughty times ahead for you.

If you get an inflatable one make sure you plug it directly into a wall socket and not via an extension lead. I did that and the plug melted, nearly set fire to my house!

Better still have an IP66 rated weatherproof outdoor switched socket fitted then you don't need extension leads and you can also then use it for the lawnmower, strimmer, power washer etc...
