I m limited on time I can meet or attend socials - so this evening after a few messages back and forward arrange to meet a guy in the social - messages every 20 mins or so saying won't be long etc and I ll meet outside chams .As time was getting on waited waited no messages and no reply - I ended up going home and blocking the said guy !!!! Ffs if you're haven't got the balls to meet or go to the club - give another single genuine guy the bloody chance - so wish I could name and shame stops another female getting messed about !! nice seeing the old crew too in the pub loads of love xxx

This is really annoying, I have only just come back on here after a long time away.

I had been let down a couple of times by girls on here, if someone has given the time and effort into organising a meet at least show up.

Those timewasters ruin it big time for most of us single that are ready and willing to meet. But not withstanding that doesn't mean being single and ready to meet you have to meet anyhow thing at least u most have a choice. We all are matured adults so even if for any reason you can't meet up a planned meeting notify the person immediately.

It's not exclusively men who are timewasters. I have been stood up on numerous occasions over the years off this site by both females and couples. A timewaster is a timewaster whether it's a male, female or a couple

One way to cut out many of the wasters and dreamers is to ask for a mobile number quite early in the conversation. Not a perfect answer but it gets rid of a lot of them. Anyone who wont give a mobile number is suspect in my eyes. Heard all the excuses about it being a work phone, or the wife or hubby checking messages, or lack of credit etc. Most of the excuses are total bullshit.

We do this but that's even more frustrating when you've exchanged numbers, chatted and made plans and they still let you down x

I know. It's not a complete answer but it does cut down the numbers a bit. Seems they will always be a fact of life on these sites to some extent. You find them in men, women and couples. So many dreamers and wannabes with out the bottle to actually go for it.

This is exactly why we will only meet at socials and clubs for the First meet! We where let down so many times we just though screw it! We organise a meet we will b there unless something major happens but we had a load of abuse and was blocked last week as we wouldn't meet a couple at the drop of a hat on the middle of knowwhwre!! It just seemed strange to me!! Atleast we find if someone's doesn't turn up the club we still go n have a good night regardless xx

As others have already mentioned in this thread and others , it seems to an increasing trend of late for no shows or bomb outs at the last minute.

I suspect that these, usually due to supposedly sudden unexpected events, all probably equate to "I'm too scared my wife will find out" or that they never had any intention of meeting and that going through the motions somehow fulfilled some need they had.

Don't let such people annoyed you. Just consider it their loss not yours and consider it a step towards meeting genuine people to meet and play with.
