Do we make too many inaccurate assumptions by looking at forum posts?

Probably everyone does a bit, it's all anyone has to go on. It's a tiny bit of information that starts to build a sometimes misleading picture. I tend to look at most of the posts are a bit tongue in cheek and fun, I expect most people are nice if you ever meet them though.
