Face pic!

Why do I find it so difficult to say "your not what we are looking for" when that face pic comes through. I know you have to be ruthless but I struggle with it. Especially if the guy seemed nice and genuine. Some appreciate the reply (even when it's a no thank you) some take offence, and some just keep on regardless lol. Hate that bit !! Do guys really appreciate a reply? Even if it's a negative one?? Xxmiss

I always like to have a reply, even if it is a quick 'thanks but no thanks'. We're not all meant for each other and everyone has their own likes!

If they keep on a bit too long it's a BLOCK from us I'm afraid. It saves the hassle!

Any reply regardless negative or positive is a sign of respect and effort. Of course, as a couple or female you might receive so many messages that you might not be able (physically or mentally) send a reply back. Your choice at the end of the day.

I agree! Think this is what we may start doing. I just hate coming across as rude. But it sometimes feels like a bloody second job trying to keep up lol xx

I'm new so not much I can really add with any certainty

But the few woman I've spoken to, have had the decency to say " your not my type" it may b hard for the sender to jog someone on..but the receiver does appreciate being let down humanely

We try to say 'thanks but no thanks' but do get a lot to reply to but would rather be polite....

I always prefer a thanks, but no thanks reply, it means I know where I stand and don't have to wait for a response that isn't coming.

Especially if you've been exchanging messages for a while.

Why does it feel rude? I don't really understand those people who feel some sort of entitlement to a reply. If a random person approached you in a bar saying some of things on here would you feel a need to respond politely?

That's the thing. I'm not talking about the idiots who send those messages we all know about. I'm talking about the decent ones who read the profile and send a lovely message. The idiots don't warrant a reply from us and I don't bother x

Still don't get that feeling of entitlement when fab rules are so clear, it shows me a level of neediness that sends my finger right to the block button.

I don't get offended when i see a message has been deleted. Have to understand how many messages women and couples get on here. Even though my messages aren't rude I get they just aren't interested and carry on!

I don't mind if I don't receive an initial reply but when you've been chatting and you send a face pic and get no reply that's harsh

I'd prefer a thanks but no thanks your not my/our type

Rejection is part of the game but I do think it's courteous for a no thanks or even a jog on but everyone is different.....attitudes are changing on here and it's a scrap I guess for the guys so that inadvertently sets the defences higher...just looking at chat rooms when at capacity and it's probably 80% guys no wonder there's more closet/ bi guys on here then before

I certainly do no matter if it's a rejection I get a few more now I'm older but it's not a mans god given rite to expect every woman to accept him or viser verser any man who can't respect a woman's desision should not be on a swinging site

If I don't get a reply I take it as a no and move on. Like you've said, it's difficult saying no so don't worry about it and if they keep on, block them.

i would say that if you dont get a reply bk,its pretty obviouse, the people you have messaged, usually with un solicited mail, arent interested in meeting you\them,i mean if you havent asked them to msg you,and its a random msgs, then why should you have to msg bk,if they want to waist there time by clicking a button and sending,a copy&paste msg,its there look out!i mean would they\you,reply to un solicited mail through the post?

I always appreciate a reply. Thanks but no thanks is much better than an ignore. We both know where we stand then

But there are always some who spoil it for the rest by crying and being nasty when they can't take the rejection. (Not that I've ever cone across any, just what I've read from others)

What's with this "feeling of entitlement?" Its called manors.. If you don't think it is that the difference between you and others.

If we are randomly sent a face pic then we'd probably ignore it but if we ask to see a face pic then we'd always have the decency to reply one way or the other.

Here!

I totally understand getting no reply as I have had a cpl account and some lovely female friends who shown me how huge their inbox gets.

However when I get a thanks but your not my or our type I really appreciate it and usually just follow with a thanks for the reply and good luck.

This site is all about choice both ways.

Just wish I got chosen more often lol x

It makes sense to use the block in that way, over time messages get lost, you lose track of who said yes & who said no, using the block button prevents confusion & we're all clear that a meet isn't what either party wants. Although tbh we wouldn't be offended by an ugly response, we have no illusions that we're attractive to many, plus, as pointed out previously we have no manners

Reply privatelyReply in forumReply +quote

The ratio on here determines who holds the aces. Women can cherry pick their meets, demand face pics on messages and use the block button at their leisure.

This is just a fact of life on FAB.

It is nice to get a thanks but no thanks BUT as I been on here as a couple 18months ago I know first hand the amount of messages a woman gets and mass deletion is understandable.

Whatever your look you just gotta stick at it and play by the rules and accept what FAB is.

Dx
