It may be more successful if it (or a similar event) were hosted at Pennant instead. No offence intended to the organisers but the whole concept of the event was off putting to us. We would rather either attend a non-playing social or go to an established club.

It just felt like there was too much that was outside of our control or trust to go to what is effectively an unregulated pop-up club in a closed pub.

Again, I mean no offence to the organisers. I'm sure they had the best of intentions and went to a lot of trouble to organise this. It's just not something we would risk doing.

There is no way we would even consider attending an event so close to home, in a place we may be known, passing people that may know us on the way.

We appreciate that organising such an event in such a way in such a location is never going to be easy, but there were simply too many potential opportunities for embarrassment to make it worthwhile.

Props to the organisers for the try though!
