Up front honesty

I'm going to have a bit of a moan here! Sorry .. I try not to, but on this occasion I feel the urge.

And please note .. before wading in with an off-topic rant, this post is about the way in which people describe themselves.

An example :

I have a personal dislike of the smell of nicotine on clothing, and on breath. Because of this, I say in my profile that I don't like to meet smokers (no problem socially but I mean for sex).

Why, oh why, do some people list themselves as non-smokers when they obviously do smoke? It is not as if you can disguise it when you are up close and personal, and if you so obviously don't meet someone's preferences, why try and get a meet with them?

I'm sure people have got lots of other examples of misleading profile desciptions, and plain dishonesty, that have led them to agree to meet someone they were incompatible with.

Please people, be honest in your profiles and accept that we are all different. You are not going to be everyone's cup of tea, so stop trying to be!

Defo high five to that! There's alot of profiles unfortunately that don't describe their social side or even down to figure and height. Not sayin there's anything wrong with curves or anything else jus be upfront with everything and that will more than often obtain a second or more meet.

As 'non smoker' is the default setting then maybe some do not actively lie rather just overlook the smoker/non smoker option maybe, hence it then gets left as the default 'non smoker' ?? Just a thought

Hmmmmm ... maybe. But I also state it in my profile so you'd think .. if they bothered to read it .. they'd realise they are not my 'type'. But maybe I'm expecting too much that people read profiles before chatting up and asking for a meet!

One of my pet hates this, some even lie in the chat etc. I'm also one who gets really peed off if any of the detail is wrong, height, size, stature, I like to know what I'm getting & because I'm honest about my size, shape, age etc I expect others to grant the same courtesy. We all have our little preferences & a bit of honesty helps is all make better choices & they're not for me I can block them

Totally agree with all comments i have experienced this and stupidly when i met one particular guy cos we had talked so much i felt obliged and have regretted that ever since wouldnt do it again though

I usually go with if a guy says he's 5'10 take 2" off that and you've got the right height.

The athletic description cracks me up everytime. Don't think I need to explain it lol

Im a fat bird but some of the ladies on here who state their dress size on their profile make me

You know they are telling porkies pies as Ive met them at socials, parties and clubs.

They seem to forget woman have to buy their own clothes so they know about different sizes.

Height along with smoking are big ones for me.

But have also had ten year old pics n the chewing gum chomp going on.

Honesty is by far best policy .....

well if ppl lie about age, size, tight foo or loose foo it all get found out in the end, I will be an OAP next month and dont care who knows it hopefull will get a bus pass and i am short, and fat BUT when I am notlooking in the mirror I am 7st 5lb upright boobies, virgin foo but as we all know get older everything goes south if i had the money i would have a facelift, boob job and a designer vagina maybe but probably prefer to go on a cruise instead lol as to fags as an ex smoker with an extremely bad chest i just ask very kindly to use a breaht spray or something and as for smell on clothes get naked and take em into the shower he he he sermon for the day, but seriously i do agree with what rosie said originally
