Ah, Blackwood-by-the-Sea!

Biggest highlight in Blackwood used to be Giro Day on a Tuesday! Cash your cheque and spunk it all in The George and buy some blow off the man in the know lol Now it's a Costa and smoking is frowned upon!

Got to love the coed pub. Worst beer I've ever had. The fridge was broken. Not only was it not keeping the beer cold, but it was heating it up! Had some good laughs in Porters though.

Porters still going i loved the masons mind good laugh there. Blister now thats another ball game there. Didnt like us blackwood lot pulling their girls so always fights etc.

Nah it's under relatively new management but its probably been up and running as Porters for about 16 years. I also remember it as The Porterhouse - steak restaurant. My parents took me there for my 16th birthday I think. Same year it closed of memory serves correct.

I haven't been there since about January this year, it was jam packed and my feet stuck to the floor! Not as bad as The Plaz in Bargoed, but close lol
