fab leavers thread

What prompts a person to delete their profile?

Lack of meets?

Vanilla relationship?

In my first year on here I deleted about 5 times (and lost many a veri).

This profile has been up and running for 5 years now and the only thing keeping me here is good friends and the possibility of making new ones.

I did the same to start but like most I've met some amazing people on here over the years so I won't be leaving now as much as I hate the site at times.

Fab is what you make it.

you are having a laugh mate, fabs what you make.. iv tried to get on with everyone, and certain people have made that time really difficult here for me, from the get go over fucking thread like.. 1 rule for regulars another rule for newbies, unless ya face fits! enough said..

I think you'll find that if you'd had the right attitude from the outset you might have found it different.

Also the forums are only used by a small percent of fab users so if you're not getting anywhere any other way maybe you need to look at the your approach

Been here 3 years and I've gone to delete several times instead have chosen to hide it and have time out instead.

Perhaps you'd find this might change if you just stop trying to cause issue you don't shine a good light on yourself tbh I've taken a look at your profile when you first joined and the word that came to mind was immature also your profile your inside yet wearing sunglasses? Thing is with this site yes you need thick skin of course there will be people who you don't click with or disagree in opinions but you have to have the level of maturity to just think ok that's life and no exaperate the situation I've been there when I was a newbie I made mistakes and pissed people off and found my fab time not that great but I keep to myself I very rarely comments on the forum and I have a little circle of close friends here now if you shove yourself down people's throats of course there gonna spit you out my opinion just saying.

Look if there's people who you don't click with here then don't socialise with them it's simple like your parents say when you fall out with a friend " you go your way they go theirs" you don't have to be everyone's friend here because frankly it's not gonna happen you do you cause I'll tell you that are doing them and that is what this is about we are here for number 1 yes we make friends but that's natural keep to you make your own little circle of friends and don't stress about others cause they aren't stressing about you my advice is stay off the forums for awhile also leave PFC alone because from an outside view you've gunned for him everything hes posted on you've clapped back with a negative it's not right hes here for fun and enjoyment also.

i got no problem with pfc, i made a comment sticking up for someone, an all hell broke lose, i used pfc as my example because he was the person that made a comment that was relevant to what i was getting at, i got no problem with pfc what so ever, i even apologised to him, ask him.. he threw it back in my face but that up to him, i still apologised to him, i'm not the person you all think i am, i'v treated people with nothing but respect sinc ei got here.. pfc is the only one i have spoke shirty to, and that was because the way he was talking to me.. people need to learn to lighten up.. as the the other guy said this is not sunday school.. im going now, it makes no difference anymore later

Yeh that's all fine and good he obviously doesn't wanna communicate or be friends with you which is fine that's his choice but he commented on this thread and you immediately comment after him with something negative I think you should leave the forums for a bit concentrate on your profile and your personal enjoyment of the site

I deleted my profile back march time l think, l wasn't gone for long, the minority make it hell for the majority....you siphon off the scum and you get some really good people. lt's just getting through it all, l wont leave now l have met far too many friends. x

He shouted rather loudly at me in full earshot of non fab members with children at the Caerphilly social asking what my username on the site was and I had to ask him not to shout.

He seemed to have huge difficulty with basic respect and social skills.... people like that are very difficult to communicate with on any level as they cannot see where they are going wrong as the majority of his forum posts showed

After 6 years on the site as a single female I deleted that profile to concentrate on this one, the couple profile. I found I wasn't really into meeting alone & knew that as a single female I could very easily pick up where I left off if the couple thing ended. Can't say any one thing in particular made me do it, yes there have been times when people here & at socials have tried to bully me out & yeah there have been times when the many rude, demanding, sex starved single guy's have peed me off, there was even the time a guy tried to force a fist on me, the time a guy sneakily ripped his condom off & many times guy's & couples have treated me like a piece of meat, but I was sensible enough to know that wasn't the norm & I had made good friends here. Lately though it does seem like a nasty pack mentality has settled across the place & as a seasoned veteran of the site I can sit back & see the little allegiances, I can almost predict who will say what in comment to whom, but newbies, if they put one foot out of place have no hope & that's a shame I agree it's not a place for rudeness or disrespect but the high horse isn't a place for teaching from & surely it's for us to lead by example & teach mutual respect, not many people take the time nowadays to simply say, you could do it better, only 2 people I ever see do that Mart & CJ. Off the track a bit I know but just my thoughts on the hi Jack.

Tbh, Mart can be just as bad if not worse. Most of the time I can agree with him but not always.

I think that some on here forget that the forums are for everyone.

The last big argument was due to someone asking for a 'dirty filthy slut' to message him for a meet.. well if people don't think they fit into that criteria then why comment, it was so easily avoided but then some like to be offended, Just my opinion as to why people get fed up with the site/forum.

Well besides the hijack and back to OP

This is my 2nd profile.

The first one I deleted when someone I was meeting got to much and it put me off for a while!

Now on this one I have made friends and have veris etc. Due to a few issues at the moment I am not meeting anyone new so was thinking of deleting but now just have invisible as wouldn't want to loose anything from my profile again

Ive deleted my profile a few times and returned.

My resons for deleting have largely been down to getting worn down by unwarranted hostility, not to me per se but un general. I find needless aggression extremely tiring.

Add to that the occasional relationship and on two occasions some very unwelcome attention that the block button was insufficiently equipped to snuff out.

It's a shame. There are lots of bellends here but I guess thats life isnt it?
