yeah didn't seem much point but don't get it when peeps are mid conversation and for no reason whatsoever stop chatting and block you?? its happened before and cant rationalise it tbh? some very very strange folks on this site

Sometimes something's said, or something changes to make a person realise a meet isn't on the cards, or you're not for them after all, or even more likely one half of the couple has been chatting & the other isn't quite on board, who knows eh but I know I've done this many times. If at any point I think a person/couple aren't those I want to spend time with, I use my block button, there's no confusion then, it's a clear we're not meeting. Harsh but effective & greatly under used X

The block option is a good but harsh option, to filter out people who it will never happen.

You read a profile, you messaged etc and it's plain that it's not going to happen, block and there is no message by mistake in the future.

personally I think that if you are going to block someone because you feel they are not for you 9for whatever reason) then you should have the decency ..and courage to explain this before you block them...I see a block for no (apparent) reason as just rude to be honest!

I have to admit I have blocked people 'mid convo' , usually cos after exchanging a few niceties they then decided to start with the sex chat.

I know we're mostly here for sex but I really don't wish to chat smutty straight off the bat.

It could be any number of reasons, one common one we found is when everything is going well, and you try to turn the conversation to arranging a meet, suddenly they go off you, more often than not its because its a fake profile, or might be one partner is still running the profile to get his jollies after his other half decides its not for her.

Chalk it up to experience and move on, but maybe ask for proof that they are a real cpl early on next time, save all that typing lol.

Tend to use it when people & couples piss me off by looking at profile over & over but when messaged tell me that I'm not their type then continue looking, or they just don't take the hint that I'm \ we (now) are not interested in them.

Rant over back to happy me again

Personally I think it's rude in mid convo to block without warning - especially if the other side has no idea what they may have done wrong...?

Thankfully it's not happened to me... yet...

What usually happens to me as a single guy, is being ignored completely. But I understand all the many reasons why it's tough being a single guy on here, so I'm cool with that...

What!!! What gives you the right for that? You're total strangers on this site until you meet, people who think they have some kind of entitlement are in the wrong place I reckon. Do you provide justification for everything to strangers in the real world? I'd be gobsmacked if you did & it's nothing top do 29th shit like 'respect', 'balls' etc & everything to do with a person's time & right to choose & out change their mind. This site makes me laugh out loud sometimes & this is one of those times

I've done it too

Men who start talking politely and normally then suddenly turn to talking filth mid conversation creep me out. Imagine what they are like in person. Yuk. Blocking mid convo is quite acceptable

There is always a reason for blocking people just may not choose to share that with you & that's what my point was about, there is no right to know, if you haven't met you're effectively strangers. The block button serves a valid purpose & the sooner people stop taking things so personally & applying real world logic to this social media forum, the sooner they can can get on & have fun X I get that you're upset & have a right to air that view but to have an expectation that you have a right to an explanation is stretching things a bit. Only my view of course & I know others will have more time in their lives to justify everything, but for most this is a small side of live X

If someone shows they aren't interested in us we don't question their reasons we just block. Seems a bit silly otherwise or you could be contacting the same people over and over who clearly aren't interested in you

Only recently I started using the block button as I've been on the site a bit longer and my patience is getting shorter - I mainly only block males who try and persuade me to change my mind after saying I'm not interested. I've also blocked people for giving me abuse because I didn't reply to a message (states on my profile I don't reply to every single one)

Hi c n p , please realise that I didn't take overall exception to the point I had been blocked and I certainly don't expect people to give a reason when they do you are correct in saying that it's an individual's right to do so. I Merely said that I didn't understand it. You also say that I may not have done so which is correct. I've only said that within the context of the conversation I was having everything seemed to be going very well hence my confusion. I don't get heavy on this site and I don't expect anyone you have to explain anything to me am pretty easy going as ignore happens and was just a general observation. Personally I would let someone know if they had upset me because they may have done so without realising but as you also correctly point out social media and the real world are two v different things.

mind you cos the damn chat room moves up all time when you click on a name or to poke someone it moves and you end up blocking and not realising
