Just read on the news that barriers have had to be erected around the Memorial due to vandalism. FFS whats the matter with people. IF caught, they should be named and shamed.

makes me wonder if they understand the significance of the memorials. It's probably not taught in schools anymore! Hang their heads in shame they ought to!

Vandals have apparently been identified as members of an over exhuberant stag do. Will criminal charges be brought against them.???.

There are 2 types of morons when it comes to things like this:

1. The stag do mentality, seems like a good thing to do at the time.

2. Malicious damage done on purpose.

In the first case then they should be made to public alt apologise and clean the damage up, whilst making a donation to the RBL.

In the second then they should also be made to apologise, but these should be charged with criminal damage.

Nope! They should be publicly humiliated and made to pay their fines to RBL.

Next they should be sent to a barracks where they can explain themselves to the armed forces there.

Sick...scum

Here!

It saddens me so much. Even if you don't respect it they should stay well clear for those that do!

This is why we should have public punishment!

Send the perpetrators out to a war zone for a spell so they grasp what our brave soldiers have been through. Maybe then they would treat war memorials with the respect they deserve
