What is it with statuses on here asking for lifts here and there.

Has fab turned in to Uber?

Some people don't drive but may need a lift to go to a social or party

So fellow fabbers close by often help out

A lift to a social or party is way different to some if the statuses I have seen.

One basically said can you pick me up from point A and take me to Point B.

I can see both sides to this

You often see the same people time in time out begging for lifts off anyone who agrees to various things when they could easilly get there by train but probably don't want to pay for it

It does get a bit cringey

But it doesn't affect me so they can crack on as far as I'm concerned

There is a difference asking for a lift off friends as opposed to begging on your status/forums to be taxi'd about for fuck all to pretty much every event you chuck your name down for

I've given loads of lifts to and back from chams, even payed for peeps for them to then go off with others without even so much as a hand shandy pmsl

There are some piss takers on here who expect people to act as taxi for them but if I saw somebody needing a lift and I was going that way I wouldn't object to giving a lift.... Well mood dependant that is.

Never expected anything in return

We'd give a lift to anyone going in the same direction as us(club,social) but my problem would be if I wanted to return early for what ever reason which we often do.
