Hey guys, I've always been interested in what people's perception of these 3 words are. I personally feel that a size 8-12 is curvy, anything under 8 is skinny and over 14 is fat.

What do you think about this?

it's all subjective ...we are all different shapes so one size 14 may look fatter than another ...I agree size 14 is no way fat ...height has a big part to play in it ....but at end of day does it matter what clothes size u wear as long as u wear it well

I'm a size 14-16 and 5ft7 when I look at myself I think I'm fat but other people don't we all have different opinions on what fat and curvy but saying that a woman over size 14 is fat isn't going to get you very far

Curvy isn't a size, it's a shape

You can be a size 8 and curvy or a size 28 and curvy

As long as someone is comfortable with themselves I doubt they give a fuck what you think

Curvy isn't a size, it's a shape

Fat is an ugly word that should only be used as an insult. Curvy can mean a few different descriptions of size and shape. It doesn't really matter what catagory you want to put people into, all that matters is what catagory you put yourself into and are happy with it.

Size and opinion is in the eye of the beholder .

not many people know this but marliyn monroe was a size 16.

Its only the fashion houses that have dictated what is curvey or fat most models look like stick insects that need a good meal .

For me john

Size is about proportions if your short and a size 10 or below then your in proportion

if your tall and a size 14 + then thats still in proportion

And anything else is entirely non of my business

as long as your healthy who cares

I m 6'1" tall and not far of 18 stone but still play rugby and enjoy life

Well there's obv a difference between all 3 that's for sure boleamic one end and can't get off sofa the other lol but I think a woman shud always carry curves be proud of them. Always good to have a handful and I'd assume most women wud like to be able to grab their man too.

Sorry to spoil it for you guys but Marilyn Monroe was NOT a size 16..... this is misconstrued and circulated by uninformed sites and usually women wanting to believe it ...

Ok ...Marilyn was a VINTAGE size 16.....vintage sizes are wayyyyyyy different to our sizes now... a VINTAGE size 16...is a US size 12....which actually transpires as a UK 8 in our sizes as they are today...

Marilyn would wear an 8 on best but could get away with a 6 over her small waist

I have Marilyn bust waist and hip measurements and they aren't a size 16

Sorry but I'm a Marilyn nerd..not much I don't know about her....and forever seeing incorrect size statements xx

Clothes sizing is really misleading anyway. I range from a size 10 in some shops to 16 in others so god knows what that makes me! Also, you wouldnt judge a mans shape on what size clothes he wears. One man could have a small jeans size with a big beer belly hanging over the top and another man could need a large tshirt because he's muscly and fit.

my wife has a range of clothes in her wardrobe ranging from a size 10 to a size 14 depending on where she bought them and yes they all fit her. However when standing there in her birthday suit I would describe her body as "corrrrrr"

As a 'mature' guy I find it strange that younger guys have this fixation with a lady's size. I am not going to do the 'beauty is on the inside' crap, there is so much more to attraction than that. I think it's amazing how I can go from being curvy when a guy thinks he's got a chance of a meet to a fat munter after I've knocked him back . Aparently the word "No" is very high calorie !!

Curvy is a self made opinion of 1s self now skinny is skinny ,slim is slim and small is small but curvy is a difination and some ppls definition of curvy vary greatly from from curvy - hour glass - fat it can be quite misleading tbh x

"Hey guys, I've always been interested in what people's perception of these 3 words are. I personally feel that a size 8-12 is curvy, anything under 8 is skinny and over 14 is fat.

What do you think about this?

I think it's amazing how I can go from being curvy when a guy thinks he's got a chance of a meet to a fat munter after I've knocked him back . Aparently the word "No" is very high calorie !!

So very true...guess the word no isnt in alot of guys volcabulary. So of course the toys need to be thrown out the pram!!

But also there is a definition ov curvy that some ppl see them selfs and it's far from what others see ,like men and they're definition of athletic that's a varied opinion too as some guys are just skin and bones and some laces are xreally big a little more than curvy

I think you are very much mistaken. 8-12 is SLIM 12-16 CURVY 16+ FABULOUS

I would say I'm a large person with curves and at the end of the day this is why i say have social meets (see forum for up coming events) , if ur idea of fat is 14+ (which by the way national average is 16) then u have a right to choose a specific type, just don't then come in here in a weeks times moaning u can't get a meet x seductress xxx

It is really confusing for us blokes as a size on one woman can be totally different on another.I met 2 girls who said they were size 16. One was curvy and delicious the other was just fat! I think we should go for the Fern, Holly or Dawn French body scale!!!(somewhere around Holly for me!)

I think it don't matter what size anyone is if they get under your skin

Noone intends on killing him

He us entitled to his opinion the same as anyone else

Not everyone is going to agree with him though

Quite a lot of us females on here are "fat" and happy (I know isn't it terrible, how dare we be confident and comfortable in our own skin and not feel the need to change to please others)

I am sure the op will be inundated now with offers from the size 14s and under and good luck to him I say

I agree there are ladies here who think they are fat and some not confident but then putting a label on it to say what is or isn't is crude and not going to give them confidence ever no matter what size someone is they still got the qualities of a female which is why we are here rite ?
