Bird seed works a treat this time of year, after filling my bird feeder today, a black bird with two great tits came into my garden. What a lovely sight they were bobbing about outside my window.

Pruning you untidy bush may be hard work in winter. So, to ensure a neat, well kept bush and have a glorious display in the spring, just clip back straggly hanging down bits with a kitchen scissors. if you need a second opinion, just ask a neighbour to have a good look. you'll be surprised how enthused people can be.

Have you planted your potatoes to early? you have to be really careful with your spuds as they can come up bruised and out of shape if you put them in too deep. ask your partner to help you out, as an extra pair of hands can make inserting large ones a lot easier.

Pulling up s? There's nothing better than to have a cheap hoe waiting in your shed, make sure you use it regularly give it a good clean and rub with some oil before using it roughly this time of year.
