Or so you would think, judging by the way people are shopping!!

FFS folks... the shops will be closed for 1 DAY... that's 24 hours, not 6 fekkin' months!

We strolled around, picking up the odd item here and there, and nearly got trampled in the stampede... so much so that Jayne had to restrain me from punching one or a hundred people lol!!

I took my mam shopping earlier. Now l had a hysterectomy 6 weeks ago. I was atvthe checkout loading up the trolley and a woman rammed her trolley into me...right into my tummy! I dropped to the floor white as a sheet. She said l didnt hit you that hard. My mam said ermm you hit her that was enough.. .shes not that long put of hospital she scowled at me as if l was in the wrong! People these days are so rude and as for the shopping gawd theres no need for it...its stupidity!

A light bulb went on the car today. All the motor factors were closed so went into town. Was dreading it but quieter than I was expecting but didn't go near Tesco or its car park.

So funny with all the people rushing around when I'm strolling knowing I don't really need anything. Although spar and asda are open by me tomorrow

Mid Wales

Some people do shop though for more than christmas day. They sometimes shop for a week or so, so they dont have to worry about going out for groceries

I think it is more though thats its an old custom which had to be done as every where used to shut down for christmas eve until new year. These days shops wouldnt shut for christmas day if they could stay open

Hang on we haven't had the first snow flake yet when by law everyone must rush out buy all the bread and milk in the world in case we have a full inch of snow and the world does officially end!
