A great loss of an amazing player and a truely kind and gentle man off the field.

I had the pleasure of meeting him through work about 15 years ago when the all blacks toured the UK.

He's been ill for a few years with a rare kidney condition which took his life at 40 such an early death, very sad and such a self-deprecating fella too.

As peeps have already highlighted amazing line speed for a winger ripping through the English defence, unstoppable!!!

My idol when I was younger although I was never fast enough to be a winger

Great player, great man, great loss

Will get a Jonah style cut in remembrance next cut

Never met him but wish I had. Given his background what a remarkable life he had. So many people have spoken about the impact he had on the game but also what comes through is what a really nice guy he was. Even the English who played against him in THAT game.
