"For us, a social in ponty would be tempting but we try and keep this separate to our real life and it may be a bit close to home. We'd be more likely to see people we knew etc. " i would like to keep it away from my normal life but there does seem to be alot from the valleys on here what if someone knew you and they were local would they keep it between ourselves or not

"Lol .... there are very close communities in the Valleys. But the swinging community is quite close too .. so loyalty and discretion should abound in theory. Also, when I used to work in RCT Council we used to laugh that the Cynon valley was abroad for people from the Rhondda! So if a social is in one valley it might mean people from there won't go, but people from other valleys might. We're a funny lot! " we recently went to newport social and reconised other local people there so its going to happen if you go to socials, just remember we are all there and all on here,we are all the same

"So where is the private party on the same night as pontypridd social haven't seen anything " That's what I meant about sometimes clashes are unavoidable. It's a private party by invite, hence it wasn't put on the forum. It's getting near to the festive season so finding a date when there isn't loads of other things going on will be difficult. That's why I think I'll wait til it all calms down in the new year before attempting to arrange anything again.

"i always thought socials are a good way to meet social new people with NO PRESSURE then you arrange your playtimes, such a shame. but well done for thinking of us members anyway and tring xxxxxxx" How do you arrange playtime when nearly every week there's a social. For a social maybe go to your local pub.these have been a great way to meet people. You will find quite a few.

"Sorry guys been away for a while. I agree that couples are likely to want to use the same discretion as us and most single men would be the same. Sadly not all single men would. I've overheard two blokes talking in the gym and one was laughing and talking about fab to the other. He was even explaining where the single female he met lived. I know it's unlikely but it does scare us." I had a message last night from a guy who said he had joined just to have a look at my pics after guys in the pub were talking about me. I've not met anyone in the village I live in though. It proves that some people definitely aren't respectful of people's privacy

It's not something that you want to be common knowledge. Unfortunately, the minority do ruin it for the majority.

"Every week we see someone or other asking about socials why arent there more etc., etc., Am on about the big organised ones not ones in private homes. The Valleys Social had two tidy ones then third one cancelled "due to apathy~" now there is a Pontypridd Social not many ppl putting names down, Swansea/Newport been going years brill socials. Everyone loves them and so it should be. But why arent members interested in socials in the valleys . We do have a lot of members in the valleys i dont understand." i blame the ppl that organise them, they only let ppl they like or ppl who fit in with what they call swinging go they think they own fab and invented swinging that why same faces at every social no one new will ever go cos of the ppl who ran them want to be number one

Social and event organisers will let anyone attend if they fit the criteria. Most ask for verifications so as to out anyone who may have joined Fab for reasons other than swinging.... i.e. the Press etc. Some people have been asked not to attend future socials due to causing problems i.e. fighting, being abusive, or causing other kinds of disruption. Social and event organizers also try and balance the numbers of single guys, as having an "open door" policy would mean the place would probably be swamped.

I can assure you as you already know I run the singles social and I for one don't even look at profiles when people ask to be added. It isn't for me to dictate who goes and who doesn't go. Socials are for every one and im sure all organisers will say the same

Bloody, stupid comment from someone who has only been on here two weeks.
