there was only those teams in the group when Wales had the bad autumn internationals just before the drew the world up, when Gatland had a break from Wales to oversee the lions and Wales dropped down the rankings but since then the have climbed back up to second

Lol...on a natural high

It's a shame that the host nation is out, as it DOES detract a little bit from the whole tournament, but its sport...that's what happens if the other team scores more points.

I honestly believe Wales CAN beat the Aussies next week, but it definitely won't be a pretty game.

Thye beat England in all the key areas and looked comfortable doing it. On top of that they didn't use drew Mitchell or quade cooper and that's ominous for a depleted welsh team!

A great performance by them but they'll edge next week and turn it up when they need to. To avoid any doubt, I'm welsh, but I appreciate good rugby.

Gatlands next quandary is whether to go for the win next week, or the week after!

Apparently England fell apart in the last 20 minutes against wales..... that's funny I thought wales were the team that had lost even more players to injury, players playing out of position and yet still managed to come back to beat England..... be nice to see what we can do with a full first team out lol

This includes offering constructive criticism when they make make mistakes and accepting fair judgement from others when they play badly. When they make silly mistakes (as all teams inevitably do at some point) it can be frustrating granted. But, as a supporter you take the rough with the smooth.

As a proud Welshman I have to say that Wales have a damn site better chance of winning the cup than the English right now !!!

The only good thing for England was they didn't have to pack this morning to go home ??

it would be impossible for any English to slate the Welsh on this thread as Wales beat England and England are out !!

That's why the sensible ones are keeping a low profile and hanging ther heads in shame after their dismal performances !!!

As well as trying to put their wheels back on their chariots pmsl

Just because we are through and have a good a chance as anyone, now is not the time to be complacent. Yes it is a well deserved celebration but now we face a real challenge. I'm keeping the faith but realistically it could go either.

No need to be cocky or to make personal insults. As per my previous post being gracious in victory and defeat makes you the bigger person. In my opinion of course.

We are suffering with injuries right now but so are some of the other teams !!

We have a great chance of going one better than we did at the last World Cup and I for one really do hope that we do

You gotta be innit to win it and Wales are still in it. Keep the faith!!! As for England they go down in history as the first home side to go out in the group stages. I have so many English friends who have been banging on since the draw for the world cup was made about what England were going to do to us and that it would be us heading home. It's great to have the last laugh.

Been reading loads of articles on last night's game and nearly everyone defending Stuart Lancaster as a coach! yes he seems a decent guy and the players like him but he has to go.

They have to remember that they got rid of a coach that took them to a final and nearly won and bought in Lancaster. Wales sacked Gareth Jenkins imidietly after losing to Fiji in a world cup pool game, another decent rugby guy but failed to deliver.
