Just been to get coffee in Cost drive thru before my nightshift and the guy asked if I had had a nice day. Told him yes am off to work soon. He asked what I do so I told him, he said it takes a special sort of person to do my job and hopes I have a good shift. Really choked me how a stranger could say something so nice

I'd expect nothing less from that one, lowering the bloody tone yuh. And I looked like a scruff so that is highly unlikely

It's amazing how the smallest comments from a stranger mean so much to us

I've also had mates moan when I have a conversation with older people while waiting to pay

sometimes I think I might be the only person they talk to that day so I'm happy to give up 10 mins of my time
