Is there a need for more in Wales?

Over the years of being on here I've seen there is an obvious need for venues and things to do for the scene we're all engrossed in.

Just wondered if there would be a demand for a full time swinging venue in South Wales? Nothing OTT, a bar, main room, play rooms, private rooms, I know a lot of people cannot accommodate for whatever reason too so rather than a hotel would such a facility be demanded by those too?

Just curious like

There are currently two clubs trying to open in South Wales, one in Cardiff more aimed at the BDSM minded, although it will cater for ordinary swingers too, and one in the Cwmbran area.

I'm not sure that any club would be able to open all day every day just for swingers, it's probable that to make it commercially viable it will need to have a second string to its bow. but we do need something in South Wales, and good luck to anyone that gives it a go.

I think it would do well

There used to be a place in Swansea but it's closed now

But maybe it could provide over night accommodation for those who travel or want it like some of the other places do

I think it's a good idea x

After going to cams in Birmingham, and talking to people who go there, its budy all week and even in the day time.

Being able to relax in a jacuzzi or sauna, steam room, and enjoy each other's company seems yhe norm during the week, and playing is a bonus on top.

Giving facilities where people can relax, eat, drink, and have fun, may be the answer to a week day club.

Also, being able to offer accommodation is going to bring even more business if its to a good standard and affordable.

Only if you look at the way others operate can you find the magic balance to suit the regional demands.

Personally I would be inclined to locate it in eastern wales to get trade from over the bridge.

Interesting views.

I find the trouble with charms is that it's a Friday thing, not everybody can be free on a Friday and some work Saturdays so my thought was having something open 5-7 days a week with enough offering would it be a viable business, after all, without pound notes at the door, no point even trying.

Yes, cams stopped in newport on Saturdays due to low turn outs.

this was compiled by the recession and people didnt have the money to spend.

Is a gay night now, and they wont change if takings are good.

It's all down to money, to run a venue day and night time and numerous days of the week costs a small fortune.

There is simply not enough swingers to keep a club going in wales .

chams can only manage one day and sometimes thats rubbish.

As lots on the site dont get along or avoid others people wont go if so and so are there e.t.c. its not good bussiness to risk money. and if the god squad find out and protest the owners could find themselves going broke in no time .

would anyone enter a club if the newspaper photographers were outside taking pics of (the house of filth)as an example? no 90 % would stay away.

newport

Back last year we were talking to the owner of chams, and with all the insurances and licenses you need, it's very expensive. It would have to be busy a lot of the time to pay for all that xx

just because it's a "wet club" doesn't mean we all feel comfortable taking our clothes off and wondering about in "sexy outfits" as soon as we arrive. It's not all soaking wet, they are dry rooms aren't there?

Yes, we need another venue in Wales, but it would need to be different to Chams. Also the location would need to be right. As much as I hate to say it, Swansea, Cardiff or somewhere close to either would be best owing to the difficulties in getting around this part of the world. Mind you, in a couple of years the heads of the valleys road will be much better, so that area would have to be taken into account.
