Scaled the mountain this morning in dreadful weather.

Feel great for doing it.

Anyone else been up there and had some fun

Weather was terrible today couldn't see 20foot in front of you. Good feeling when you finished.

Make sure you pick a good day for the views at the top

Somewhere near you

We love it up there too! Don't live far from it actually. Been there rain, sun and snow! Still can't beat the way it makes you feel after completing it

I agree. Felt good today and even though the weather was shit rain and hailstones it was for charity and really enjoyed it.

Will have to pop it next time I up there xxx

The views are stunning. But when you're constantly being dragged up there for work, unfortunately the novelty wares off.

I went to the top recently for the first time on a windy day and yes the views are lovely

Lyn y fan fach is also worth the trek and others such as cadair idris and gylder fach and gylder far in Snowdonia are always worth the walk to Thier summits

I walk regularly and love the Beacons. Snowdonia is a few steps up though - higher, wilder, more remote and more beautiful. The Beacons are beautiful too, but they feel a little tame (though still potentially dangerous) by comparison once you fall in love with that place

I avoid Pen y Fan most weekends though as it's just ridiculously busy, at least from Storey Arms. I walked there the weekend before this one and could see it and the Storey Arms car park most of the walk, but I didn't pass another person for three hours.

I don't mean to sound churlish - it's still a wonderful place and think walking is a lovely activity for anyone to get involved with - fresh air, quiet contemplation, stress relief, gangbangs in hidden ravines etc. OK, I just made the last bit up.

I'm contradicting myself in a way too, because for all quiet contemplation is lovely, I'd love a walking buddy

I walked up behind to lovely Lycra claded arses yesterday. Kept me going all the way. Would love some fun on the top.

Cynon Valley

Been up there many times in all sorts of weathers. I enjoy a walk up there on a nice starlit night.
