Name tag idea for socials

Hiya guys as someone mentioned it in another thread I thought it actually a good idea what your thoughts on name badges with your fab names obviously ?? Xx

i used to have a roll of sticky labels at my socials and if guests wanted to put their names on it they could most liked obviously some like to not do it but its a good idea

It would help. Especially if the music is loud lol.

We thought about having t-shirts with our fab names printed on at one point for socials.

A good idea, but to play devils advocate...wouldn't this take the fun out of getting to know people? From personal experience, most convos with people I talk to start with asking their Fab names or being asked mine. Then conversation leads from there.

In old socials they had name tags but they had a list with our fab names and our real names lol. It used to work!

To put everyone mind at ease yes the venue knows it's a swingers and always has even before we took over so name tags wouldn't be problem but may get eyebrow lift at some of them lol x

I went to the Newport singles social the other day - my first one.

I have to be honest, I couldn't have coped with wearing a name tag. It would've felt too much like being at a very dull conference for chartered surveyors in Basingstoke, or one of those hideous training events where some over-enthusiastic, bullshit-peddling facilitator makes you play stupid games. Or one of those large parties of identically clothed American tourists gazing in wonder at Welsh castles for that matter.

I've just realised I have an irrational hatred of name tags

Having droned on about that, I should say that I completely get how it will help with identifying and remembering people and fully accept that I'm in the minority on this!
