when planning a meet ...how many would it be acceptable to have on a standby list just incase the timewaster curse strikes ??

You don't want to disappoint to many people

But I guess if they know they are a backup then as many as you feel are needed

Would you not then be wasting their time?

My personal view Hannah, would be at least 6 but given that I can't even find 6 guys willing to meet me, I went with 3 tonight, just in case you bumped me for a better offer

Now... don't jump on me for this but...

How would you feel if you were someone's "fallback", especially if there is going to be more than one?

"Please, take a ticket from the machine and wait inline until your number is called!"

Sounds like something only a woman could get away with lol!

Personally, we have NEVER had a no-show in 6 years, and I think that's down to our selection process.

Its always nice to get a reply saying thanks but we think we have arranged something, but will let you know. Its good manners.

It doesn't matter if you find a meet in the meantime, its their loss.

I dont see why they wont turn up, as a single male on here who has been on the swinging scene a number of years i have never failed to turn up to meet someone, even though its been socials or full on no talking play, just gives us single males a harder time to find someone to play with and have a good time with, we never get a chance because of people like that gggrrrr grips my shit, i would happily be on a couple of peoples back up list on here but would much prefer to be on the top of the list lol

I'd rather have a last minute invite from someone I've been chatting with than be someone's second/third/fourth choice. Xx

It's up to the standby, if you offer and they say ok, why not?

I've been a standby in case of no -show.

I meet a lady once who seemed absolutely amazed I was definitely turning up. I don't understand people who arrange and don't bother.

In fairness if you're open and honest about the list then its personal choice as to whether you agree or not! But you do run the risk that they won't be fully committed to meeting either.....Hannah its sounds like too much hard work tbh I'm not organised enough anyways

Nothing wrong with having a back up if everybody knows what's going on and agrees

I have had blokes offer to be a back up when I've said I had a meet lined up. I figured it's their choice rather than them being desperate.

Depends on how many people's time you wish to waste should your meet turn up as planned!
