Going tomorrow and had a curious thought...for those who get checked out, do you openly tell them that you are a swinger? I'm tempted to be upfront rather than try to make up excuses. I'm a crap liar

I went the beginning of the month and instead of an excuse I told them i'm on fabswingers I also said altho I play safe i'd still like to be checked fully, there was a few more questions than your normal asked but at least I didn't have to lie about why I was there.

they do yes but its private to the clinic, the lady there said its so that when you go next time there wont be any need to explain your personal life and they will no to run full tests every time you go

in my experience its best to be very honest and open about everything. these are professional and knowledgable people, who are there to help. they know stuff that we only only have vague ideas about, and i always ask a load of questions. they have surprised me a couple of times with tips and very useful advice. so go with a smile and confidence, its an education!

we are up front with them they don't judge you, they made a note on the forms what site we are on but the info isn't passed on to anyone unless you tick the box to say they can pass details onto your doctor .

I'm just totally honest, no one judges & I doubt your Doctor would care, they certainly can't tell anyone. I go religiously every 2 months, even if it's just to have my throat swabbed. You just never know nowadays, some guys stick their cocks anywhere & they're not always truthful about it & that applies in vanilla life as much as here x

all files have numbers anyway not names and they dont share with GP unless you ask them to

forgot to say the only thing you have no control of is if you test positive for hiv cirus then the government has to know etc., etc., thats the law. you dont have to tell them you are on a site on the internet, just tell them that you have a certain free lifestyle thats all they need to know

Just to clarify meaning some people like to make quick assumptions, we only ever play safe and always attend clinic regular and have the appropriate swabs and tests.

Only difference is she thinks im a slut not a swinger.

fair play to you be honest they dont judge they will probobly give you loads of condoms free its a pity more people did not go i used to work in one in london and there's a great respect for swingers and honest people they'd rather people kept a check on things than have an epidemic youll be fine its nothing to be embaresed about good luck

the thing is.. you don't get the same results! they can do different tests for different people, and can personalise your treatment. so you can either say nothing and get the general check up, or get a more meaningful and personally useful treatment. we are lucky to have such a system available and I, for one, appreciate it. whether you take advantage of it or not, is completely up to you.

Definitely this, it's up to you fabsters, but why be ashamed of such an enjoyable pastime, it's not as if the staff at these places can tell anyone, they'd be sacked. Confidentiality is a big issue in the health profession & it is best for you & those you play with, to get it right X

They are not there to judge just offer advice and check that you've not been exposed to or likely caught an STI.

They'll have heard a million and one different stories why you're ikely to have had a higher than average number of multiple sexual partners so you're unlikely to make them blush.

Telling them you're a swinger or whatever will only be greeted with an 'oh, ok' then they'll just ask if you've been safe and all of that, and the dreaded... "How many sexual partners have you had in the last month" then 3 months prior, sometimes it's fun just to say none in the 3 months prior and give the whole number for the last month

In the one in Cardiff? I didn't see that last time I was there.

They have to put scaremongering posters up though as so many people don't give a shit about their health. It is good that people are willing to get tested. We both get tested every few months but also don't meet that regularly.

Best to be open and honest . However if you don't want to say how many partners you have had , tell them that you have had unprotected sex which should ensure you are offered all the tests . You are asked quite a few detailed questions including how many partners , have you been to Africa , have you slept with prostitutes and when you last had sex. The questionnaire is designed to risk assess you. I opted for urine sample and blood test. Only takes about ten minutes and you get a supply of condoms free.

I had both blood and urine tests . Are they all that is necessary or what do throat swabs do.

You need the throat swabs, things are easily caught in the throat & most people don't seem to understand this, Chlamydia, Gonorrhoea, not nice things to get & asymptotic for most. Very rarely to people practice safe oral, where would the fun be if we did eh X

There should be more clinics , with longer opening hours . I have to travel a great distance to mine and wait 2 weeks on results . They are lovely and friendly though . Free condoms and free advice . Felt really comfortable yesterday , the 2 nurses that dealt with me this time had me in kinks . Joan Armatrading we on the hospital radio an the nurse taking my blood told me she loved her singing , she wants to go see her singing live at our local opera house soon because she lost her virginity to her music . But her husband is working . I told her to go alone and enjoy the memories . Last thing I expected to hear we a nurse divulging the loss of her virginity . So it's not all doom n gloom . Same as the one in Newport, I don't tell them what I get up to as they don't need to know....just always ask for full works including bloods everytime....your there and it's free so just as well!

So I took my courage in both hands & explained that we enjoyed a lifestyle with other sexual partners. Best thing I ever did. I feel comfortable & honest chatting to them. As soon as I mentioned the lifestyle to the lead nurse she offered the hepatitis vaccination programme . I've 2 more visits for that . Then back to check bloods in 3 months to make sure the vaccinations worked .

I went 2weeks ago to the walk in one in newport and they didn't ask any questions like they used to. Just asked what I wanted to be tested for on a sheet they had given me and that was it really. U even do the test yourself now except the blood part

why tell them the average 18 year old has more shags in a year than most swingers on here.

Yes ... when asked about multiple partners I said I am on a k own nsa site..There was a sign at reception warning about the increase of syphilis amongst users of certain sites so I was honest in order to have full screening..

Now its on system they do full tests without me having to ask..

It's nothing to be embarrassed about ..she was completely in shocked and has heard it many times before x
