Anyone here ever go the hippo club?

I loved that place,the best nightclub I have ever been to.had some great times there in the late 90s!

Used to go to Emporium and vision back in the day. That's how I used to get a sweat on anyway

Hippo club God I remember that place when it was the original bogies night club and the Bristol hotel next door. They were the days had some great nights In. Both venues

I do agree some of the bands were great always felt welcome in there. Even met lemmy from Motörhead in there one night

Phil Campbell comes from same village as me so 'Motorhead' have gotta bit of a connection to South Wales, he's a really nice guy too the times I've bumped into him, no heirs n graces at all...We used to listen to them playing 'Milk n Alcohol' amongst other songs when we was kids before he joined the band...Most of the village could hear them lol
