Advice needed re: Party

Hi

I'm thinking of organising an adults party around Xmas or in the New Year.

Was thinking of asking people to PM me and if they suit I could send an invite. Mixture of couples and a few guys at our nice home in Mid Wales.

But....I've never done this before....eek!!....any do's and dont's I should be aware of? Anything obvious I should know or could potentially overlook?

Mail other party organisers to find out if there is anyone you should avoid.

Invite more than you want, the dropout rate is high, especially amongst "single" guys.

You will have a high drop out rate at first, but if you get known for good parties, the drop out rate will plummet. Also, go for personal invite only working on friends only plus personal recommendations.
