If you are happy to travel (to get a good artist you sometimes have to - I would recommend Michael Rose - he is in potter's bar - north of London

No one tattooist is good at all aspects. Exactly the same as any artist everyone has things they are good at and not so good at.

Personally I'd take a recommendation for someone who is good at portrait work then go and have a look at their work yourself.

Look at the portraits theve done of famous people so you can see of they are able to get a true likeness. Nearly every tattooist has fb page or websites showing their work.

do some research even contacting the ones you like. Most will be happy to have a chat about what you want.

I like to feel comfortable with my tattooist and know that he knows me enough to listen to what I want.

Art is a personal thing so go for what you like not what others recommend x

he is very good in all aspects and wouldnt class him self as a certain tattoo artist as he is amazing at everything he does...all his work is his own and he tattoo's in conventions and in a magazine.. hope you find what your looking to get and i really do advise giving him a call and to look at his work...the shop is in swansea under the name of new age tattoo studio..
