Is trimmed acceptable?

Ladies I realise that having a ball'fro that resembles grizzly adams is no longer acceptable (younger ladies Google him), but can I ask is it to do with appearance or unwanted flossing? I try to keep things neat, tidy and presentable these days but I come out in hand shakes if hold a blade anywhere near my pants area. So is trimmed ok? Thanks for any advice xx

I've just been looking at hair trimmers as im sick to death of shaving and getting in growing hairs lol

I tend to shave.. But winters here. So have to tuck them in my sock to keep em warm.
