I'm going on holiday in late September, staying near Ross-on-Wye. I have a few ideas of things to do, but if there are any Fabbers who live in the area, would they have any suggestions? I normally enjoy looking around castles and so on (history geek, I'm afraid), but I'm open to any suggestions and you like to give some new things a try.

Secondly, I can hardly have a week away without trying at least one new club. Would anyone like to offer a recommendation?

Chepstow and Raglan are probably the closest......there's a roman fort in Caerleon, as for clubs you have Chameleons in newport........if you get bored come to the valleys with a stringless tennis racquet and have hours of fun with sheep

I wonder what would happen if I brought one along to Chams? (the tennis racquet, not the sheep...)

I've just been looking at the Chams Newport website. It says they're only open on Fridays I'm staying Saturday - Saturday and have to leave before 10am to drive home, which won't be a good idea if I've been awake until the wee hours. Oh well, back to the drawing board.

Try llantony priory. Lovely setting. Pub built into the priory and a little church steeped in history.
