Anyone done/doing it?

Any advice, info or recommendations etc etc

Thinking of trying it out as I am uncomfortable about my weight and body.

I'm 125kg large built guy although well built rugby player, would love to shift a few stone by September. I have tried many diets in the past and failed after a few weeks. I have read that this one is not such a chore, as the 'fast' only lasts for 24 hrs at a time which is more manageable than prolonged food restriction.

If anyone is currently on it and has any tips then please drop me some advice.

Thank you

Faddy.

Stop doing 'diets' as you say. Eat less crap, move more. It really is that simple.

Hi I did it last year for my wedding but in reverse - did if 5/2 lol. Are low carb on the 2 days and used Cambridge diet products the other days.

I did lose stacks of weight quite quickly but it's not really sustainable unless you have stacks of discipline. I'm 2.5 stone up since my wedding day - size 16 instead of a 12 - boo!

Have just started slimming world last week and going to the gym / swimming 5 times a week now so here's hoping to be back to 12 by Xmas !

I have the discipline as I've been overweight for to long, hope you have luck with the diet and swimming is the best exercise you can do.

I went from a size 22/24 about 8 years ago...

i cut out the junk and was my down fall as I'd drink about 18 bottles of it a week

the slower you take to lose it the more chance you have of it staying off

I wish you all the luck and you can do it if you really want 2

Ive just started it. I don't think it's a "fad" diet anymore than anything else you may try. It's been around years, but only recently become popular.

I think it's quite sustainable to stick to the 500 cals twice a week. It makes you more aware of what you are eating, which can only be a good thing in my opinion.

Good luck to you!

Have to agree with dirtylittlebitch, take in fewer calories, burn up more calories by exercising, walking or gym, result = weight loss, simple.

Some great advice thanks all

I do find that even if I eat healthy all week and then have a blow out on the weekend I more often than not stay the same or in some cases gain weight.

I have struggled with my weight all of my life. Although very active. I just can't seem to shift my extra lumps and bumps.

This 5:2 job is hopefully going to be the game changer for me.

I will keep you posted of my progress.

1st fast day today!

Weight....124.9 kgs

Cheers all
